Chapter Eleven: New Places and Old Faces

 

Bobby finally got you stitched up and said "Okay you rip these out I will put you under you got it?" You laugh "Yes sir." Bobby walks over to the table saying "So Dean... Is she coming?" Dean looks at him and nods then you question "Umm who?" Dean sighs, it was clear he was hoping you wouldn't ask that. "Well umm me and Sam have a case in Kentucky and we just umm we don't think you are ready to work so I called my girlfriend to look after you while we are gone." you stare at him anger becoming clear on your face "So I need a babysitter?"

You and Dean have a staring contest for a moment then Bobby breaks the silence "Well I am going to go get breakfast and you two can play...odd couple and have a...odd fight or whatever...have fun kids." Dean not breaking eyes contact with you "Thanks Bobby talk to you when you get back." Bobby grabs his jacket and walks out the door leaving you and Dean alone.

After a few minutes Dean says "I didn't say you needed a babysitter but she was coming down anyways and I am just going to get her to stay with you until we get back." You huff "Why? I can take care of myself!" Dean rolls his eyes at you "Well we were just thinking that if you fell in the shower that you might not want Kevin to be the only one there to help do you?" you shrug "I don't know I haven't met him yet he might be gay."

Dean laughs and stands, then walks over to the table to pour a glass of whiskey then takes a sip saying "Just please...Go along with it for me...Do it from Sam." you sigh "Fine...but I swear if she is a babysitter then I will kill you." Dean smirks "Okay deal...You will like her I promise." You nod then ask "What's she like?" Dean smiles and you can tell he was thinking about something happy as he says "She is amazing... She has such a heart and God beautiful, one of the most beautiful girls I have ever known but God I promise if you make her mad... She will kill you but still...She would die for someone she doesn't even know in a heartbeat..." You smile "Well I am sure she is great and I can't wait to meet her." Dean nods "So...You and Sam... You two seem happy." You nod "Well I am happy, happiest I have been in years." Dean smiles "Well I know Sam is happy...The kid, he hasn't been this happy in a long time but with you around I don't know he just seems better." You smile at the thought that you are able to make Sam happy "Well I know this is a crazy family but I am happy to be in it."

About fifteen minutes later Bobby walks back in with breakfast "Okay let's get moving and get back to the bunker." You nod standing, then walking over beside Dean and say "Okay well let's do this." You go to walk out but Dean stops you "Hey hold on." You turn to look at him "What is it?" Dean takes a deep breath and says ''Sam...he is a very jealous person and I don't know why but he don't trust me a lot around girls...'' You nod ''oh I could never guess why maybe because you slept with his prom date?'' Dean rolls his eyes ''anyways...he is going to ask where you were and why I am with you so what are you going to say?'' You shrug ''I will just say that we went to get something to eat". Dean thinking out loud "I don't know if that's such a great ideal". You tilt your head, with a confused look "and why not?'' Dean sighs and says "well umm he will want to hug you when you get back like he always does and then when you move away from the hug because it will hurt like a bitch on your back, what will he say then?" You finally reply ''well I don't want him babying me because I ripped my stitches!'' Dean nods ''well you better decide quickly."

Both of you go back down stairs and walk in the door to find Sam and Garth packed and ready to go. Dean throws the breakfast on the table as Sam checks the room once more ''hey I was just about to call you. Where have you been?'' He of course walks over to hug you but Dean steps in front of him and shakes his head no. Sam stares at Dean then at you and says ''Halee what's going on?'' You with hesitation in your voice ''nothing Sam". Sam looks back at Dean ''well then why are you two together and...acting so funny...wait did you-'' Dean interrupts him "wait no! Listen something just happen and-". Sam cuts him off and says ''YEAH I BET WHAT DID YOU DO?!'' Dean yells back ''NOTHING IF ANYTHING SHE HURT ME!!'' Sam looks down at you and says ''Halee?'' You roll your eyes ''okay long story short I tried to sneak out and get breakfast without everyone knowing but Dean woke up and scared me so I roundhouse kicked him and ripped my stitches so Bobby had to stitch me back up and Dean thinks that your bear hugs might hurt me'' Sam looks at Dean then back at you ''why...why didn't you tell me?'' You sigh and walk over to him hugging him lightly ''because I didn't want you to baby me like I can't take care of myself when I can...'' Sam lightly hugs your back ''I won't treat you like a baby but I will make sure you don't get yourself hurt'' You nod ''well umm Bobby is ready to go so let's pack up and hit the road I am ready to see this bunker and this Kevin kid'' Sam nods and says ''well you pack up your stuff and we will take ours to the cars'' you nod ''got it!'' and walk over to your bag and started packing as the boys left, you walk in the bathroom and changed tops while they were gone, when you got your top off and had your tank top on you look in the mirror and see the scars running down your upper left arm and on up your neck and back... you still remember the night you got them the whole reason you left your home...
