Juvia's POV

The smell of pinecones filled Juvia's nose. It smelled very raw, and also very good. Her eyes fluttered open.

She suddenly remembered that she was in Gray's room. She looked down slightly and saw the top of Gray's head. Out of curiosity, she took a sniff. That's where the pinecone smell was coming from.

As she slowly awoke, the memories of last night steadily filled her head. Gray had fallen alseep while sobbing in her arms.

Juvia certainly wasn't expecting that when she came by his house the night prior. But she certainly wasn't upset with the way things turned out. Not at all.

How could she complain? The man she adored had always kept her at an arm's length until now. He was reaching and grasping for her. He was tightening their embrace throughout the night. And Juvia was more than happy to be his shoulder to cry on.

Since his body was still, Juvia assumed Gray was still sleeping. She didn't want to wake him, so she just kept her arms around him and shut her eyes.

His steady breathing made her heart flutter with every inhale and exhale. She snuggled her cheek on his soft, dark locks that sat on the top of his head. She felt completely at peace.

Gray woke up about fifteen minutes after Juvia did. He slowly stretched his head back.

Juvia sat up as he did. His eyes were droopy and sleepy in the most adorable way.

It seemed to take Gray a couple moments to figure out what Juvia was doing in his room. Once he realized, he gave a little scowl and looked away. Juvia took note of the slight tint of red in his cheeks.

"So, ah," Gray sat stood up from the bed, his back to Juvia. "Sorry about last night." He mumbled.

"There's no need to apologize." Juvia replied without hesitation.

No one said a word for a few more seconds. Gray scratched the back of his head, like he was trying to think of something to say.

"Do you have that dream a lot? Is that why you go to therapy?" She gently asked.

"I don't have that particular dream all the time. But the nightmares happen a lot. Like a lot, a lot." Gray breathed. "And yeah. That's a big chunk of the reason why."

"You know, Gray-sama," Juvia decided to act boldly, from her gut. She stood from up from the bed and walked around it. She walked around until she was face to face with Gray. Her body was only a short distance away from his.

"If you ever wake up in the middle of the night because of a dream, you can call Juvia. Juvia would even walk here if that's what Gray-sama wanted." She said, more surely than how she usually spoke. Gray raised his eyebrows, most likely surprised. His expression transitioned to a lazy smirk.

"Thanks." Gray patted Juvia's head, which had a mess of blue curls on top of it. Juvia smiled warmly at the approval she was receiving.

"Do you want breakfast?" Gray finally asked.

"Juvia would love that." She smiled.

Juvia sat at the dining room table and attentively watched Gray cook. He was so freaking cute! Everything he did made her smile and feel butterflies in her stomach.

He walked over with two plates of eggs and toast.

"You said you wanted your eggs over-easy, right?"

"Right." Gray sat and put Juvia's plate in front of her.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a plate wrapped in tinfoil.
