Tyler's POV
After my talk with Jeff, I decided to talk to Amber. It didn't take me long to find her. She was standing in the cafeteria surrounded by a few guys.

"Amber!" She smiled when I came up. "Can I talk to you? Alone." I glared at the other guys.

"Of course Ty!!" She shoved the guys as she jumped up, hooked her arm through mine and led us around to the quad outside the center.

"What's up babe?" She purred making me gag.

"What did you do to Chloe?" I sneered.

"What?" She looked shocked at my tone.

"I'm going to ask one more time. What did you do to Chloe? She was strong until this morning. What. Did. You. Do."

"Calm down Ty Ty. All I did was talk to her," she shrugged.

"What did you say to her Amber?" I asked loosing my patience.

"The truth."

"What truth?"

"That she wasn't good enough for you. That you could never like her. That you didn't like her."

"Why would you say those things?!" I panicked, cutting her off.

"Be...because they're true." She said more as a question.

"They sure as hell aren't!" I yelled pulling my arm out of her hands roughly and walked to my room.

Chloe's POV

"Chloe?" I sighed as Jeff walked in. "Tyler wants to see you. Again."

I shook my head as Amber's words came back to me. "Stop trying to make him like you. He only is nice to you because of pity. That's it. Nothing else will come of it. You and him. Please. It's not going to happen. Ever."

"Chloe. I really think you should talk to him. Maybe he could help." Jeff shrugged.

After I didn't respond I heard him sigh. "If you need anything just let me know."

I laid in bed with my back to the door for hours. Thinking. About how one accident could ruin my life forever.

"Why didn't the accident kill me? And not my mother?" I cried.

"Because you were too precious to loose." I gasped and sat up in bed.

"Tyler? How did you get in here?" I looked around my room. My door was still locked. And so was my window.

When my eyes landed back on Tyler I saw a gold key. "It fell out of Jeff's pocket after he left." He laughed.

I didn't smile. "Yeah. Of course it fell." I painfully laid back down and turned my back to him.

"Chloe," his voice broke. "Please. Talk to me."

"Tyler, I don't feel well. Please just leave."

"No. I'm not leaving you Chloe. I know. Okay? I know what Amber said to you. And it's not true. Every word is a lie. I do care about you Chloe. Nothing is going to change that. Not your past. Not my past. And definitely not Amber." I heard footsteps and turned just in time to see my door shut.

"Why would he have a crush on me? That's stupid." I whispered, tears streaming down my cheeks.

That night I cried myself to sleep.
