Help Me Through This

One Year Later

Chloe's POV

I looked around the room and smiled. "You aren't actually going to miss this place are you?" I turned around to see Jeff leaning against the doorframe.

"It's just.... So much has happened." I sighed.

"I know." He came over and wrapped me in a hug. "I hope you know, you will always have me."

"Is that suppose to be a good thing?" I joked.

"Come on. Tyler is waiting for you." With one last look around I closed the door and met Tyler in the lobby.

"Hey babe." He smiled as I walked up to him.

"Hey." I stood on my tip toes and kissed him.

"You ready?"

I looked around the center and laughed. "Hell yeah." He threw his head back in laughter and walked me outside.

"Are you sure your parents don't mind us living together?" I asked for the millionth time as we got into the car.

"We're 19, Chloe. And my mom loves you."

"Okay. After all these years...." I still couldn't believe I was finally leaving.

He reached over and intertwined our fingers. "Everything is going to be different."

We sat in silence as Tyler drove to our new apartment and as we walked up the stairs. I was about to unlock the door when I looked over to see Tyler smiling.

"What?" I laughed.

"Nothing. I'm just happy."

I leaned in and kissed him. "Me too." I opened the door and froze. Throughout our apartment there were red roses, candles and pictures of us. My hand went to my mouth as I walked around.

"Tyler.... This is.." I turned around to see him holding a black box. I watched as he knelt down on one knee.

"I know we have only known each other a little over a year but Chloe, I feel like I've known you a lifetime. I love you.  I want to be there for you the rest of my life. Chloe? Will you marry me?"

Tears were streaming down my face. "Yes. A thousand times yes!!!" I jumped into his arms and crashed my lips onto his. He put me down and pulled apart. I watched as he took the ring and slipped it on my finger.

My life truly changed for the better.
