I found myself sitting by my friends at lunch the next day joking around. The feeling in my stomach eased as I got to school and I could finally relax. I was having an awesome time with Layla and Magenta talking about our sidekick classes, that is until Lash tripped Will and made him spill his food on Warren, who looked up and glared at him.

"Look, I'm sorry that my dad put your dad in jail but-"

"Nobody talks about my father." Warren growled grabbing and burning him making Will pull back and grab my tray to defend himself.

"I was still eating that..." I said and Will glared as Warren burned the tray by Will's face. "I guess I'm no longer eating that." I looked over to see Lash and Speed laughing their asses off and I glared at them walking over and grabbing them, holding them to the wall.

"What are you gonna do little sidekick?" Speed laughed and I held my hands out to them hitting them with unimaginable pain, making them throw their heads back and fall to the ground. I heard a lot of commotion in the back ground but I just ignored it until I felt myself grabbed from behind and pulled over to Warren and Will, who had just destroyed the cafeteria. I was walked down to the detention room with them neutralizing my powers. We sat together in awkward silence for a little while before principal powers came back in.

"Weve contacted all your parents, Will, your parents are here with Lili's father." I looked up at my dad who was glaring at me and I suddenly felt sick again. Will walked out with his parents who looked upset but my father needed to talk to the principal so he left me in there. Once again we were engulfed in awkward silence. I glanced over at Warren who seemed to be trying to sleep on the desk top and I saw a cut just above his eyebrow that had dried blood dripping to his cheek and instinctively I reached out and wiped it away with my hoodie sleeve making him look up at me.

"Sorry..." I mumbled and he smiled a little.

"It's fine, thanks."

"So...you okay? No broken bones or anything?" I joked.

"Nahh, just tired, I didn't sleep well last night."

"Yeah, me neither, I felt nauseous since I left yesterday." I shrugged and he looked at me expectantly. "What?"

He looked almost confused before shaking his head, and that's when my father stormed in grabbing me by the arm and dragging me off.

"You made me have to leave work to come and get you today! And on top of that I find out you're a sidekick?!"

"Hero support." I corrected as he threw me into his car before he flew down and drove to our house.

"Don't get smart with me!" He snarled and I flinched back as his hand smacked the side of my face. "Go to bed, no dinner for you, and you're suspended for 3 days by the way." I sighed walking up to my room and sat on the roof right by Will and Layla's house. They were shocked when I told them what was going on and they stayed up with me later than usual until I needed to go to bed. I locked my door to protect myself, laying down under my blanket, feeling like the most vulnerable person in existence.
