When a person tells you that you hurt them
You don't get to decide that you didn't

.
It wasn't until I felt someone playing with my hair that I finally became alert again and sat up quickly.

"It's okay, calm down, you're safe here."  I turned around to see Warren behind me and I sighed, remembering everything.

"Sorry...I don't usually sleep well in strange places."  I chuckled and he smiled at me.

"It's alright, are you hungry?"  It wasn't until he asked that question that I realized how hungry I actually was.

"I haven't eaten in 3 days, so maybe a bit."  Making him stand and hold his hand out to me.  We walked downstairs together to find his mom on the couch watching tv.

"There you 2 are, you've been asleep all night."  I glanced at the clock on the wall, seeing that it was 3 in the morning and I froze.

"Wait...we slept all day?"  She nodded.  "My dads gonna kill me!  God, I have to go!"

"Hey!  Don't worry, we'll explain it all to him."  Warren stated brushing my hair out of my face.

"I already did.  I went over to your house earlier and spoke to him."  My eyes widened as she looked at me expectantly.  "He was quite drunk when I arrived, muttering on and on about how misbehaved you are."  She gestured for me to sit down beside her and I did feeling terrified about the following conversation.  "Lili, I have to ask...does your father hurt you?"

I shook my head quickly.  "No."  She looked down at me raising her eye brows.

"It's fine to tell the truth, we can help you if you just let us."  I felt an arm around my waist and a gentle kiss pressed to the side of my head and I've never felt so safe in my life.

I felt tears come to my eyes as I looked to her again.  "He said he would kill me if I ever told anyone... I don't want him to hurt you too..."  I choked letting out a sob and feeling arms wrap tightly around my whole body.

"He's not going to hurt anyone else Lili, I'll take care of it, do you have any marks on you now?"  I nodded slightly pulling away from Warren's very warm body and pulling up my shirt and showing her the marks on my stomach.  I also reached up and gently wiped away the concealer that had miraculously stayed on my skin while I slept, showing them the hand mark around my throat.

"Come on, Warren, get dressed."  He nodded standing up and running upstairs.  "We're taking you to the police station."  She said directing me out to her car and helping me in, it wasn't until then that I started to panic.

"He'll come after me!  He'll kill me!  He told me so! He'll hurt you and Warren, Please Don't Do This!?"  I sobbed bringing my knees to my chest as she tried to calm me down.  She pulled away a moment later getting in the front seat before I felt myself being cuddled and a jacket wrapped over me.

"Once the police see the marks you won't have to worry, he's going to jail babe, I promise."  He whispered to me and I started breathing normally again as we soon arrived at the station.  I let his mom, who I came to know as Carol, do all the talking and sighed after giving my statement, letting them take a few uncomfortable pictures of me, and signing a few papers.  We sat there for a few hours before a cop walked in restraining my father who glared at me as he passed by.  I felt myself being held tighter and I saw Warren glaring back.

"You're all free to go, you may go to the house and collect your things."  His mom nodded driving toward my house.

"Where am I going to go?"  I questioned and they both chuckled.
