I woke up in the morning late, and just slid my shoes on with my fuzzy black pajama pants and my red tanktop, pulling the jacket and a beanie on before Layla and Will walked in.

"It's okay, you won't be going to classes, you'll mostly be in the nurses office." I groaned walking like a zombie outside and onto the bus. Everyone looked at me concerned, even Ron, the bus driver. I reached into my bag pulling out a bottle of pills and popping 3 in my mouth dry swallowing them making Layla take it from me.

"What's this?" I shrugged slightly, not able to speak at all, before she gasped handing it to Will. They pulled me out and into the school, straight to the nurse, where I saw the nurse as well as Warren and who I assumed to be his mother talking to her. He looked to be in pain as well but not nearly as bad. The nurse dropped everything as I was dragged in and sat on a stool.

"Lili, what hurts? Can you answer me?" She questioned checking me for a fever. Warrens mom stood beside her. "Temp is 101.6. How has she been the past 2 days, I'm assuming you've seen her. I've never seen a case of mate depravity this bad." She asked Will and Layla.

"She's just been getting progressively worse, she's had stomach pain and headaches, chills, and she's been taking these." Layla handed her the pills and she grabbed a light shining it in my eyes.

"When did she last take them? These are prescription strength pain pills, that are clearly not prescribed to her."

"She took 3 like 5 minutes ago on the bus." Will spoke and the nurse pulled me into the bathroom and kneel'd me by the toilet sticking a tongue depressor down my throat making the pills come back up. I washed my mouth out in the sink and was sat back on the chair. I reached down pulling the jacket off and handing it back to Warren who shook his head.

"Hold onto it for a few more minutes." I nodded pulling on the overly large jacket, and feeling better slightly. I then stood up and walked over to him, staggering a little, and pulled off my beanie, putting it on his head.

"I felt bad that you didn't have anything of mine, especially if you're in pain as well." He nodded wincing as he did. "Well now you have my hat, that smells, probably like my passion fruit shampoo mixed with Gain detergent, and it has the added attraction of being quite stylish. You look hot." I chuckled and he smiled at me.

"You have an adorable smile, I love seeing you happy." He stated and I blushed, probably like 10 shades of red, making him grin as I sat back down.

"So Lili, I've been told by Layla and Will your father never explained to you what a mate was." The nurse questioned and I shook my head seeing Warren's eyes widen.

"What?!" His mother exclaimed and I jumped back slightly. "How can someone be that ignorant, HOW?! If she had denied it much longer they could both have died!"

"They were pretty close Miss Peace. A mate, is the one person who is destined to be with you forever. Your soul mate. They're perfect for you in every way. For our kind the feeling is much stronger, helping us notice faster. If ignored the bond that has been formed between the individuals will start to tear, breaking until they're both dead. It's horribly painful to be without your mate, especially for the female, as you well know. But once you embrace that bond, it's a magical thing that will be with you for all eternity." I was shocked to hear that this kind of thing actually existed but it brought me happiness to know that someone really cares about me. "Now, really quick before you go, Miss Peace is going to take you to her house to get you fixed up since your dads at work"

"Not like he would do much anyway." Will muttered and the nurse looked concerned, while I just glared at my neighbor.

"Are you having a problem at home Lili?" I shook my head seeing everyone looking curious and worried. "Alright, anyway, these pills you've been taking, who's are they?"

"My dads, he takes them when he's in a lot of pain and he falls asleep. I hadn't slept in 2 days, and I only got like 2 hours last night, I was just trying to go to sleep." I moaned and she looked understanding.

"Well, you should only take one at a time, and you should only take them if they're your pills, 3 at once isn't safe, hell, 3 a day isn't safe, ask next time okay?" I nodded and she helped me stand up. "Miss Peace, I suggest, waiting until you're home to let them touch, their bodies are going to be so relieved and worn out that they'll probably just fall asleep. And I don't know much about your rules at home, but I suggest letting them stay in the same bed tonight, they need to stay close." She nodded. "Also, consummating the relationship is not something we as teachers are allowed to advise, we're supposed to be working to stop you from having sex, but I've never seen a mate-ship this strong in all my years, and I've seen a lot. The pain will continue to be this strong whenever you're away from each other until it is consummated. The school is working to schedule you two together at all times to make it easier...good luck kids." I grabbed my bag following Warren and his mom to the car, probably still looking like a zombie. Warren's mom talked in the car and I did my best to hold conversation with her and it wasn't until we got to his house that she stopped talking and suggested we go to bed.

I followed him through the house and to the stairs. I made it up 2 before I just laid down on them making him chuckle lightly. I felt myself being lifted into the air and he was careful not to touch my skin before getting me into his room. I pulled the jacket off as he stripped to his boxers and we laid beside each other feeling really awkward. "I don't want this to be weird, I'm not ready for what she was talking about earlier, but I really do like you, and I want to try this."

"I'm glad, and I want you to know that I will never push you into anything like that, I'm not that kind of guy. Lili, I will wait 10 years if I have to, so long as you promise to stick with me, so the pain can stay away." He chuckled.

"You're a really sweet guy Warren...I'm glad I get to be with someone like you, you make me feel safe." I leaned up and kissed his cheek before pulling the blankets up and putting my head on his chest. I cannot express the relief I felt, as we both sighed making me cuddle in further and him wrap his arms around me before we finally passed out.
