Nothing But Trouble

Chapter 1

Shifting my 69' mustang into gear I took off like a bullet trying to put myself as far away from my boyfriend (well ex now) and his crazy brother as I can. Glancing in the review mirror I saw his brother pull out his shotgun and aim it towards my tail. I took a sharp turn to the right going cross country as shots were fired behind me. After kicking it into full speed and losing my ex I found my self back on a road heading to someplace called Hazzard county. I was home free for about 5 minutes until them dang fools were back on my tail and if I wasn't so mad at him I would have been impressed with his driving. Flying across the county line i immediately heard sirens joining the chase. Great I though not only do I have to deal with a crazy ex but I have to deal with the dang law.... If they could catch me. I let out a laugh and did a 360 passing both cars behind me only to find that the sheriff called his deputy to put up a road block. I thought about stopping but instead pressed the gas even more and drove right towards a very scared looking deputy. Just before I reached the car I pulled up on the two left wheels and went around the blockade. When I finally turned around I couldn't help but laugh at the scene behind me. My ex's car ended up smashed in between the sheriffs and the deputy's. Knowing they were all alright I drove off after blasting the horn.

Now y'all know that the only people that could ever pull off a stunt like that would be the Duke boys but it ain't them. Because Bo and Luke were changing a flat on the General watching as this scene unfolded before them.

"Now who do you suppose that was" asked a very confused Bo.
"I don't know but I'd sure like to find out. Let's go" replied Luke.
Climbing though the windows of the General, the two cousins took off after the black mustang.

Great another tail I thought as I looked behind me and saw a bright orange charger. I rolled my eyes and turned off the main road hoping to lose them. Thankfully I did and started heading towards the town. Out of nowhere that dang orange car pulls out blocking the road making me slam on the breaks. I watched as two boys climbed out the windows of their car. Debating on the best way to get out of here I heard the blonde one yell. "Alright get out of the car."
I angrily stepped out and pushed my sunglasses on the top of my head saying "what the hell are you guys doing trying to get me killed."
The boys were clearly shocked and I didn't think I'd get an answer until the dark haired one stepped up "well we saw you getting chased by Rosco and that blue car and we wanted to know what was going on"
"Oh that was my boyfriend he chased me all the way down here from Atlanta and the sheriff joined once he saw me speeding."
"So your from the city? Why was you boyfriend chasing you and was he shooting at you?"
"Um no and he chased me because I broke up with him and yeah that was his brother with the shotgun."
"Alright why don't you come back to our farm and we can uh try and sort this whole thing out."
I nodded and got back into the drivers seat and followed them until they pulled into the driveway to a nice farmhouse. I parked and made my way over to them.
"You boys still haven't introduced yourselves"
"Oh right well I'm Bo Duke and this here is my cousin Luke Duke" Bo said pointing to the dark haired boy.
"Nice to meet you I'm Faith"
"Pretty name for a pretty girl."Luke stated and I laughed.
We walked though the door to the house and we was greeted by a girl about my age and an old man.
"Uncle Jessie, Daisy this here is Faith we met while she was running away from Rosco and her ex"
"Nice to meet you Faith. Now you come in here an amazing make your self at home dinner is almost ready." Jessie said. I sat down besides Daisy and the boys finished putting the dishes on the table.

After supper I told them thanks for the meal but I should get going. I was halfway towards my car but Luke ran out and stopped me. "Wait why don't you stay the night here we've got an extra room and all the hotels in town are owned by Boss and you won't get a good room at this time of night."
"Well if you don't mind but I don't have any clothes or nothing."
"That's alright we can figure something out. Just come on back inside its getting cold out here."
I smiled and walked with him back inside. Jessie showed me my room while everyone else got ready for bed. I heard a knock at my door. "Hey Daisy wanted me to give you these and you can wear my shirt because it gets pretty cold in here."
"Thanks Luke for everything."
"You're welcome. Goodnight Faith"
"Night."
I changed into the shorts and tank Daisy let me borrow and then pulled on Luke's shirt. I breathed in his scent and laid down falling asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow.
