Nothing But Trouble

Chapter 4

Luke and I walked along the farm and climbed up into the old hayloft in the barn. We sat in silence for a minute in it Luke asked "So what's your story Faith?" 
"What do you mean?"
"You know like what brings you down here, where you from, those kinds of things."
"Alright but you first. "
"Well I was raised up just out side of Hazzard and one day my parents and Bo's parents died in a car reck on a shine run so me and Bo was sent to live with uncle Jesse because we had no other place to go. A couple years later Daisys parents were killed and she came to live with us too. So Uncle Jesse raised us up like we was his own kids. When I turned 18 I went off and joined the U.S. Marines and there I became an amature boxer. When I came back me and Bo started to run moonshine for Uncle Jesse because it's been our family for over 200 years. 2 years ago me and Bo was caught by a revenuer so uncle Jesse made a deal with the U.S. Of A. Government that he'd never make whiskey again if we didn't go to jail. So now me and Bo are on probation and Rosco and Boss are doing everything they can to make us break probation and get thrown into jail.  And that's pretty much it."
I was shocked at his story but also amazed. "So do you ever make anymore shine?"
"Well for emergencies only and this one time were we interest it into this contest to try and stop pollution my letting engines run on Uncle Jesses prime."
"Damn I sure would love to try some of that whiskey."
"Yeah and it'd probably knock you right out just smelling it."
"I seriously doubt that."
"I ain't joking. I've seen it happen."
"Oh really?"
"Yep. So tell me about yourself."
"Um I was born and raised in southern Texas, my dads the leader of the Texas Rangers and he worked on a lot of cases dealing with major criminals. When I turned 16 I started to get interested in his work so he would fill me in on everything as much as he could. One night he arrested the James brothers and I started to get really close to Jessie. Once they got out 2 years later me and Jessie fell in love or so I thought and I helped him do all these crimes without him getting caught by my father. Last year James, Frank, and I moved to Atlanta to be away from him and to open up a new ring of making money off of selling Black Market Guns. I though it was getting to out of hand and I wanted out but being his girlfriend I didn't have a choice. Finally I had enough and broke it off with him a couple days ago. He and Frank got angry because I knew their plans to expand their smuggling ring all the out the south starting with small county's like Hazzard, Hattachapee, Chickasaw, and places like that. With me knowing all this information they've been chasing after me so that I won't tell anyone and ruin it all."
"Wow so does this have any connection to why you talked to boss Hogg?"
"Yeah I told him they are starting to transport black market guns here and  about the reward for arresting them and he jumped on it like a bee to honey."
"You know he's probably going to end up making a deal with those guys and figure out a way to double cross both of yous. "
"That's the point. He'll lead me right to those boys and then Ill turn them into my father and boss will believe he'll get so rich after trying to profit off the guns himself but he won't have the guns."
"Seems like you have this pretty planned out. You know you could have just asked me and Bo to help you look for them that way you don't get sucked into boss's plans."
"I know but y'all are just so sweet and I don't want to put your life in danger like that. You have not idea what these guys are capable of."
"The only person your putting at risk is yourself by not letting me help."
"I'll be fine Luke." I said sternly. He just shook his head but dropped it. We exited the old barn and walked walked to a river and sat on the sandy band watching the sunset. I laid my head on his shoulder and took in my surroundings. After watching the sun fade away Luke sat up.
"You know what get in the general I'm taking you to one of my favorite spots." I looked at him confused by stood up and made my way towards his charger. Luke ran into the house probably to tell Jesse where we were going and to grab his keys. He came out a second later and jumped in the car. We drove down an old dirt road for a while until the road stopped. We turned into a large field behind the airport completely ignoring the No Trespassing sign at the gate.

Now y'all I don't know about you but I think something bads about to happen
