It was a relatively peaceful day on the Kent family farm. Clark was at the barbecue with Jonathan, Martha was reading next to you on the deck, and Connor (yours and Clark's six year old son) was playing with daisies next to the family dog.

Then a loud crash came from the corner of the yard Connor was sitting in.

'Oh dear.' Clark muttered.

'What's happened?' (Y/N) asked, looking up from his book.

'Connor seems to have accidentally broken the fence.'

(Connor didn't quite have a handle on his powers yet, after all. So, really, you should have probably expected something like this.)

Then, as you watched, Connor burst into tears and sat down on the grass. So you put down the book and quickly grabbed the container of band-aids from your pocket.

While you were doing this Clark had stopped his barbecuing and rushed over to Connor.

'Hey, bud.' Clark whispered, sitting down next to him. Instinctively Connor leant into him, clutching tightly at Clark's shirt. 'It'll be okay.'

'I'm sorry...' He wailed, as Clark wrapped an arm around him. 'I didn't mean to...'

'Well, it's an easy fix. Watch.'

Cautiously Connor lifted his head up from Clark's shirt. Clark then took the arm that wasn't around Connor and placed the fenceposts back.

'See? You didn't do anything wrong. Now, do you want me to carry you to (Y/N)?'

Connor nodded, so Clark hoisted his son's legs up around his waist, before slowly standing up (after Connor's arms were around his neck) and walking over to the verandah.

'Hi, Con'!' You greeted.

Clark slowly put Connor down on your knees, and you noticed that he'd scratched his hands.

'Oh, dear.' You murmured, taking Connor in your arms. 'Do those hurt?'

'A little.'

'Here.' You said, opening the packet. 'Which one would you like? Firetruck or car?'

'Firetruck, please.' Connor mumbled.

Carefully, you took a plaster from the container, unwrapped it and placed it onto his finger.

'Better?'

Connor nodded, and you pressed a kiss to his forehead.

'Good boy. Come on, then. Let's go and get lunch.'

I don't know how to write children... I feel like he's written older than he actually is. Oh well.

I also apologise if this flows badly, I wrote it over the course of three or so months. And then forgot. Hope you enjoyed it. :]
