Chapter 57

JAS P.O.V.

Ding dong.

I find myself sprinting down the stairs "I'll get it" I call.

I open the door to find my beautiful best friends.

They're both carrying huge bags of necessities for this afternoon and look gorgeous as usual.

Shay's wearing her ripped skinny jeans with a crop top and not to my surprise her random pair of cat ears clipped onto the top of her head.

Abbie has gone with a floral dress, which ends just below her knees and her hair is done up into a bun.

"Hey" they smile I grab both of them into a hug.

I've missed them in all honesty, with everything going on I feel like I haven't had time for the two that have been here from the start.

"Hi" Abbie squirms.

"I...need...a-air" Shay gasps.

"Sorry" I chuckle setting them free.

"So what's first?" Abbie questions as we walk into the living room, thankfully Sarah is in her room playing and Freyas at a after school club.

"I dunno" I shrug.

"Let's just chat and stuff first" I jump onto the sofa and pull my knees to my chest.

"I missed you guys" I tell them as they take a seat on the couch opposite me.

"We've missed you too, you've obviously forgotten about us since Harry swept you off your feet" Abbie exclaims as she sits crossed legged.

"pphhffh...what?" I feel my cheeks flush.

I have noticed that I haven't been talking to them as much since me and Harry have sorted things out but that doesn't mean I will completely shut them out.

Abbie and Shay look at each other before laughing.

"So how have you and Zayn been?" I question Abbie trying to change the subject.

Shays smile falls as she looks over at Abbie who's playing with a strand of her long hair.

Abbie and Zayn were the happiest ones before any of us so it pains me thinking that something has happened between them.

I shift uncomfortably as I wait for Abbie to say something.

"We're..fine" she murmurs not looking up.

I search for some answers on Shay's face but she stays silent.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I get up from my space and take a seat on the floor in front of Abbie.

Shay places her hand on Abbie back and rubs small circles.

I'm so confused, I know they haven't broken up or I would've found out by now..wouldn't I?

"You guys" Abbie pulls on a smile.

Her cookie coloured eyes look sad but as her smile widens making it sparkles a bit.

"Everythings fine" she tries to persuade us.

"Are you su-"

"Jas, I'm fine trust me" she places her hand on mines before looking over at Shay smiling.

I know she's not okay, but I don't push it knowing that I'll get some answers from Shay.

"Come on" she stands walking to flower arrangements.

Shay follows behind her and I take my seat back on the couch before pulling my phone out.

I got a text message from Harry, or should I say text messages.
