Fixing the Past

Spy rule # 98 : Some times people make mistakes and you just have to learn to forgive them to move.

Kylie P.O.V

When we got off of the plane we went straight to Austin's house which was like 20 minutes away from the airport and 45 minutes away from my house. I didn't go home though I went straight to Austin's house. When we walked into the house yells "Mom I am home!"

I was standing behind Austin where nobody could see  Austin's mom comes out of the kitchen  and says "Hi honey, How was your interview for that private school?"

Austin replied " It was good. I um got accept. They want me to fly back tomorrow and start. Oh and I brought some one home with me?"

Austin's mom says "That's great honey but you're leaving me so soon. Who is it that you brought?"

Austin steps out of the way to leave me face to face to the women I thought would never take her son and leave me. Her eyes got wide when she realized that it was me. She said "Kylie? Kylie Jones! Oh my how you've grown. How are you dear?"

I smile at her. I may be mad with her but she is the closest thing I have had to a real parent in a long. I reply back to her "Hi Ms. Brown I have been okay. How have you been?"

Ms. Brown sadly at me knowing partly why I have only been okay. Then she says " Well i've been pretty good.  I don't mean to sound rude. Also don't take this the wrong way I am thrilled to have you here but why are you here?"

I look at the ground not really wanting to tell her that I dont want to go home to my dad. Austin notices my discomfort and says "Kylie was at the interview too and she got in. We ended up on the same plane and she said she didn't want to go home to her dad."

Ms. Brown nods her head understandingly and said "Well you are more than welcome to stay here whenever you want, but we don't have a guest room so you'll have to stay with Austin in his room."

I smile greatful and say "Thank you."

Austin then leads me up to his room. It was simple the was were a dark blue and his sheets were grey. He did have a big bed though, I would guess a queen or a king size bed.  I went and sat down on Austin's bed. Austin was standing in his door way watching me, he then asked " Do you need anything to sleep in?"

I nod my head yes and he hands me an old football jersey and a pair of boxers. I stand up and go into the bathroom that is connect to his room.  Once I was down changing I came out and Austin was shirtless and only in his boxers. He was laying a pillow on the ground and has blanket. When he saw me he stopped what he was doing, sat down on the ground, and rubbed the back of his neck while he said "I was going to let you have the bed and I was going to take the floor."

I laugh and he looks at me confused and asks "What?"

I laugh and reply " Come on Austin we have shared a bed before."

He chuckles a little and says " Yeah well that was like a year ago."

I shake my head while laughing. I lay down on his bed and pat the spot next to me. He chuckles again before standing up from the ground. He then runs and jumps on top of me. He says "If I didn't know any better then I would think you were trying to get me in bed."

I laugh because I know he is is joking. I say back "Oh please. I could do way better than you."

He laughs and arches his eyebrow and says "Oh yeah?"
