Gone

Spy rule #15: Always work as a team.

Austin POV

The drivers were handing out our equipment and then all of a sudden a window breaks and Luke yells  "grande."

Everyone jumps in different directions. Then the grande explodes. I am blown back into a wall and a piece of wood come flying and hits my head . Before I can get up there another crash and a flash grande goes off. I can't see and I can hardly hear, but there is still more coming. There a loud 'bang' and now the room is filled with smoke. I feel something wet run down my face so I touch it and see that it's blood. The piece of wood that hit me must of cut me. I stand up off the ground and try to look around but can't because of all of the smoke. I here some yell "Austin!"

I look around but still can't see. The person yells again " AUSTIN!"

I start walking to where I think the yelling is coming from but I don't know where I'm going because of the smoke. Once again I hear someone yell "AUSTIN!"

The voice sounded closer and I figured out that it was Kylie. I can't believe I didn't event think that it was her from the beginning. I hope she is not hurt. I yell " Kylie!"

I don't get a reply back which make me worry. I then hear a speaker and it says " Alpha and Beta team if you have not already made your way outside please do so now."

Maybe Kylie already made it out of the building already. I think back to right before the bomb went off. I was standing at the end next to Jasmine. Kylie was standing at the other end next to Alex. As much as I hate Alex I know he would have gotten Kylie out of here if he was with her. I hate him because he likes Kylie. She is my best friend but I wish she was more. Before she can be more to me I need to make sure she knows I am not going to leave. I also can't have people like Alex getting in the way.

Once I make my way outside I yell "Kylie!"

I don't get I response, but I do spot Alex. I hurry over to him and I ask, "Where is Kylie?"

Alex looks startled and quickly says "I don't know where Kylie is. I thought she was with you."

I start to panic and say "I thought she was with you."

Alex panics too and asks "Well then where the hell is she?"

Before I can tell him that I don't know where Kylie went the boss gets on over a megaphone and says "Alpha team boys get into car one. Beta team boys get into car two. Alpha team girls get into car three. Beta team girls get into car four. Go straight to the car you are assigned too. Once we get back to headquarter, Alpha and Beta report to missions room one."

Everyone sprints to their cars and they get in. Alex and I get into our car to see Jackson already sitting in the car. He grins at us and says "It took you too long enough."

Alex and I glare at Jackson. Jackson grin drops realizing Alex and I are not in the joking mood and asks "Whats wrong guys?"

I reply by saying "We couldn't find Kylie inside or outside of the building."

Jackson responds "I am sure she found her way out. She was probably the first one to find their way out of the building."

I sigh and say "I hope you are right."

The rest of the car ride is silent. All of us are to lost in thought. I am lost in thought about Kylie. She is my best friend and I can't lose her. She is too important to me to lose. We arrive back to the agency. Jackson, Alex, and I all jump out of the car and rush inside. We don't even bother with the elevator. We went straight for the stairs and sprinted all the way up the eighth floor. I bust through Missions room one and see everyone is here. Everyone except for two; Kylie and Luke. The boss is standing at the head of the table. I narrow my eyes at him and say, with venom in my tone, "Where the hell is Kylie?"

The boss seems unfazed by my tone and says "Mr. Brown please have a seat and I will explain everything. You too Mr. Adams and Mr. Reed."

I plop down into a chair and wait for my explanation. As soon as Jackson and Alex found their seats the boss says " Today's weapons training was made up. There wasn't training today. As all of you have notice Kylie and Lucas are not with us. That is because they were kidnapped. I realized that any final mission I gave Alpha team they would have been able to complete with Kylie. The Beta team doesn't work as a team without Lucas. So I came up with my brilliant plan, for them to get kidnapped and all of you would figure out where they are and execute a rescue mission. However my plan backfired. On they way to a secure location Kylie and Lucas were kidnapped for real. We are unsure of who took them but they were taken because of valuable information they have."

I jump up and say "What valuable information do they have?! They aren't even full agents yet."

The boss gives me a stern look, clears his throat, and then says "Well my top two team leaders are required to memorize all undercover agents names and a password that gives you accesses to our whole agency information. Well to the bad guys Kylie and or Lucas by themselves are only half useful. Neither one of them has the whole list of names and neither one of them has the whole password. They are both responsible for half."

This time Alex interrupts and asks "Well luckily you haven't given them the information yet, right?"

The boss says " I actually gave to them after they fought each other. They have had the information for a while now."

I then ask "Well what are we going to do?"

The boss replies "This is going to be everyone's final mission, but instead of it being pretend its going to be very real. This is life or death for Kylie and Lucas. Time is of the essence. We to be fast and efficient in finding and rescuing them. Anything yall need is of accesses. Alpha and Beta team yall can chose to work together or work just as your given teams."

The boss gets up and leaves the room. Everyone just sits in silence for a little bit trying to process everything the boss just told us. I say " I think we should work together but also separate."

Some guy off of the beta team says "I don't understand what you mean."

I reply "I think we should work with our own teams but share information. That way we can work faster."

Everyone nods their heads in agreement. Jasmine asks "Well where do we start?"

Everyone is silent again trying to think of where to start. A girl from Beta team says " We should start with big groups who have the means and the motive to pull this off."

Jackson then pipes up and says "We should look at photos from the crime scene where Kylie and Lucas were kidnapped from."

I clap my hands together and say "Okay Beta team yall go look through the Agency's database and see who have the ability and motive to take Kylie and Lucas. Alpha team will look through the pictures so we can match a group with Beta teams list."

Everyone gets up and head into different directions. All I can think of is Kylie in some small dark room waiting for us to come save her. Don't worry Kylie we will find you and save you.

Sorry I haven't updated! I have been busy and couldn't think of what to write but here yall go! I finally figured it out!
