Chapter 19: Angels and Demons

Dean's POV

I look at Vil apologetically and turn back to Cas,
"An E.V the last of them, and, I think you should let her go, like now." I says as I notice that she's struggling to breathe,
"Oh, sorry." Cas says as he releases Vil who start gulping grateful breaths of air, bending over a bit clasping her stomach panting.  I walk over and wrap my arm gently around her shoulders, I didn't save her for her to suffocate.  Cas looks as Vil with great curiosity and a hint of sadness,
"You alright Vil?" I ask her as she stops panting and has her hands on her knees,
"Yeah, I'm good." She replies gruffly, coughs a little then clears her throat,
"I'm sorry, I have not sensed an Evolved Vampire for centuries, I'm sorry to hear you are the last, I did not recognise that energy.  I thought they were all gone." Cas apologises,
"Nup, not quite." Vil says as she straightens up, as she does I take my arm off her shoulders.
"The last E.V I met was very nice, it's a shame that the rest are gone, they were the one species that got along with us when we came to earth." Cas says solemly in his usual husky voice,
"You knew about E.Vs? Why didn't you tell us?" Sam asks,
"I, didn't want to raise your hopes that out there, there was a good species of monsters, besides, after the purge I was sure that they were all gone, that Quanrus was bound to do something like that soon." Cas replies
"Yeah, we've heard about what a son of a bitch he was." I say,
"Was?" Cas asks like 'what do you mean 'was'?',
"We hunted down the son of a bitch and killed him." I answered which cause Cas's eyes to widen and drop his mouth in shock, something that hasn't happened before,
"YOU DID WHAT!?" He yells, "Do you realise how FOOLHARDLY THAT IS!? Angel have been trying to kill him since his reign of terror started!  It's a miracle you two survived!" Cas yells, which again, hasn't really happened before.
"Cas look, he's dead, we're alive, that's all that matters right?" Sam points out,
"I suppose so, but that was one of the most stupidest things you two have done, including selling your soul to a demon and getting addicted to demon blood." Cas says to Sam and I, oooooof course he had to bring those up, damn it, thanks to a certain dead son of a bitch, the memories of hell still hanging in the back of my head, I see by the look on Sam's face that what the son of a bitch had said to Sam is still eating at him.  Cas's sternness fades when he realises our reactions,
"You, got captured though didn't you, and he, messed with you two didn't he?" Cas asks solemnly, Sam nods, "Oh...." Cas says awkwardly,
"Forget it." I reply, "So, what are you doing here anyway Cas?" I continue,
"Only 16 seals remain, many angels have been killed." Cas explains,
"What do you want us to do?" Sam asks,
"We need to guard the next seal she's going to break, but we don't know which one, we need to spy on her, somehow, we need someone on the inside, someone she doesn't know we know yet." Cas wonders out loud receiving looks of confusion from Sam and Dean, "Sorry, was, that, out loud?  That, wasn't meant, to come out." He continues,
"If you're suggesting what I think you are." Sam starts,
"No, she's not going doing it." I finish,
"Not doing what?" Vil ask confused and looks at me curiously,
"Why, why not?  She'd be up to it, and the only people who knows she's exists are the three of us." Cas States,
"And by now half the Beasts out there.  Killing the second in command to the Alpha doesn't exactly go unnoticed, every Beast will know I'm alive and be after my head, don't you forget how bad they want my kind dead?  News travels fast from where I come from." Vil states matter-of-factly
"But you're not a True Vampire.  Wait, you killed Quanrus?" Cas asks, Vil nods a little cautiously, I can see she's scared of Cas, I guess she knows that he can kill her without a single thought if he saw fit.
"True, but, like it or not, I'm still a vampire, and yep, I killed that damned son of a bitch, 'bout time someone did." Vil replies,
"I guess that true, well, I guess that means that you have some unknown invisible force that allowed you to come out fine.  Like I said, many archangels and angels alike have tried and failed to kill him." Cas replies,
"Well actually, I didn't exactly come out unshaved, I did get pretty best up, got a new scar, but it wa-...I mean I'm surprised that I did win." Vil says and when I give her a look of 'no don't tell them!' She changes what she was going to say mid sentence.  Sam looks at me confused as to why I looked at Vil like that then turns back to Cas as he speaks again Vil and I do the same,
"Well, anyway, back to what I was saying, we need to spy on Lillith, Sam, maybe if Ruby is as trustworthy as you say, see if she'll risk a little information mission." Cas says with a little bit of bitterness when he says her name and what he's suggesting.  Sam nods, "I'll be in touch." Cas says and then flies off.

My POV

The angel Cas says he'll be in touch and flies of with a mighty flap of his wings which I can't see but can definitely hear.
"That was Castiel, but we call him Cas for short." Sam informs, I nod, what Cas said replaying in my head 'I guess that means that you have some unknown invisible force that allowed you to come out fine.' Unknown invisible force?  No, I mean, sure I did have some moments where it could of gone very bad very fast, but that was just dumb luck.  And besides, the reason I'm still here is standing right here and either he's modest, ashamed or he himself not know why he did it, otherwise he would have spoken up about it.  Sam broke the silence by clearing his throat,
"Well, Ruby is coming by in a minute or so."
"Don't even explain why." Dean says annoyed
"I'm not going to Dean! I was just going to say that this could be a good time to ask her if she could spy on Lillith." Sam bites back, no, not more conflict, I sit down in a chair and lean back in it.
"Right of course, but still," Dean starts,
"She'll be here where both you and Vil are, so that she can't try anything." Sam points out,
"Fine." Dean says still not to happy that Sam was going to secretly meet up with her again.  This demon blood thing really had broken a bit of trust between them.  As if on cue to break the silence a dark brown haired, short woman appeared,
"Sam!  I thought you said that you're brother would be out or asleep. And what is THAT, doings here?  I thought that you hunted monsters, not take them in!" Ruby complains then says the second sentence bitterly,
"Watch your mouth bitch! And she has a gender and feelings surprise surprise." Dean bites back,
"Since when do monsters have feelings?" Ruby says spitefully,
"Since E.Vs exist you little demon bitch!" I snap back,
"Oh, you're still around? I thought you were all killed." Ruby says with a side look at me,
"Surprise bitch, we ain't going down without a fight and." I bite back and punch her in the face, "That's for making a human addicted to something us vamps, Beast as well, don't daaaare to touch! You fool! Don't you realise what it could do!?" I yell at her,
"Vilda stop!" Sam calls out and walks over to Ruby who is holding her nose which is now bleeding, and Dean looks like he's trying his best not to smirk or smile,
"What are you smirking at!?" Ruby snaps at Dean through her hand, "Control you're little leech!" She continues,
"Ruby please!" Sam pleads
"No! I did not come here to get punched in the nose!" Ruby yells,
"Hey, that wasn't planned, that was improvised, and, like it or not, I'm sticking with them for now.  Right, now we've got that sorted, I'm gonna shut my pie hole and let Sam and Dean have the stage." I state,
"Where are you off to?" Ruby says snidely,
"Away from you you black eyed bitch!" I say as I walk out of the room, stupid demon, I hope I broke her nose.  WHAT WAS SHE THINKING!? That stuff is very very, very bad!  If it doesn't kill you, it'll have other bad side affects.  I turn around as I hear footsteps behind me and there's Dean,
"Yeah, what is it?" I asks curiously,
"What? Oh nothing I just thought that we'd have a better chance of getting Ruby to spy on Lillith if Sam's the only one in the room." Dean shrugs,
"Thought you didn't trust her alone with him." I reply,
"Well, since he knows that A I'm up, and know what's going on, and you're pretty fast so and have good hearing." He explains,
"Fair enough, I'd proabably crash into the door, I'm pretty clumsy.  Wait, you want me to eavesdrop?" I remark,
"It's not eavesdropping if you can't help but hear what's going on." Dean says with a smirk, I chuckle shaking my head,
"True, true, so we just gonna chill out here till we can go back in?" I ask, he just shrugs.
