"No, dude, the kid." Sam replies
"The kid? The kid's a doornail." Dean states,
"Exactly! If he's was the last person to die around here then maybe he's seen something. We should talk to him." Sam interrupts, Dean smirks and softly chuckles looking away from him then looks back at him,
"I love how matter-of-fact you are about that. Strange lives." He states, he has a point,
"And how exactly do up you plan on communicating with this kid?" I ask
"We have our connections." Dean replies with a bit of attitude,
"That's not terrifying at all." I reply sarcastically, which causes Dean to chuckle,
"You make a fair point but no, we know a spell that can do the trick, we'll have to do it at night though." Sam replies truthfully, "It involves going to a graveyard and to anyone else would look like some sort of devil worship or something like that."
"That's a little less unsettling." I reply less concerned.Later that night Sam, Dean and I are at Cole's grave and while I stand guard watching out to see if anyone's coming they boys set up,
"You sure this is gonna work?" Dean asks Sam sitting on a stone carsscet his breath a mist in front of him, for them it's cold, for me, well, what can I say? Kinda the undead,
"No." Sam replies receiving a look of 'what?' from Dean, "But if his spirit's around, this should smoke him out." He continues and Dean closes the spell book and sighs in frustration as he looks away from Sam, "What?" Sam asks,
"This job is jacked, that's what." Dean replies,
"How so?" Sam asks,
"Well you want me to gank a monster, no offence Vil." Dean says,
"Non taken." I reply,
"Or torch a corpse? Hey, lets light it up right? But-but this? If we fix what this is, people will start dropping dead. Good people." Dean states, he's not wrong, it does seem, kinda cruel preventing supposed miracles,
"Look, I don't want them to die either, Dean. But there's a, natural order." Sam explains
"You're kidding, right?" Dean asks with the tone matching,
"What?" Sam asks not understanding where this is going,
"You don't see the irony in that?" Dean says as though it's obvious which it is, I even picked up on it,
"I mean you and me, we're like the poster boys of the unnatural order all we do it ditch death." Dean argues
"Yeah but the normal rules don't apply to us, do they?" Sam argues back, to which Dean responds with a chuckle, oh god I see where this is going.
"We're no different then anybody else." Dean states like it's obvious,
"I'm infected with demon blood. You've been to hell. Look I know you wanna think yourself as Joe the Plumber Dean, but you're not. Neither am I. Sooner you accept that the better off you're gonna be." Sam argues back and Dean just tilts his head back and let's out a breath of annoyance,
"Joe the Plumber was a douche." He casually states,
"Uh guys!" I call as I see a guy and he sees me and walks over, crap,
"What are you doing out here little missy? And at this hour?" The guy says, must be on patrol, crap."Uuuuuuuuh." I drag out as loud as I can without being suspicious trying to drone out the boys who clearly didn't hear me over their little dispute,
"Who were you calling out to? You got partners?" He questions,
"No, no, no one, I was um, practicing! See at my college we're doing this um play and, I'm getting into my character of being at a graveyard with my friends, but, we got, separated, yeah." I make up on the fly mentally yelling at the brothers to shut up and just do the spell, god what I wouldn't give for the stereotypical powers of hypnosis, would be extremely helpful at this current time."You gonna help me with this?" Sam asks. Dean let's out another mist of breath and stands up. Really not helping boys.
"Hey!" The man calls, oh crap, "Come with me." He says grabbing me by the arm and pulling me over with him,
"What are you doing here?" He questions them, and without him looking I give the boys a look of 'I tried to warn you!'
"Uuh, look, just take it easy." Sam starts as both Dean and him turn to look at the man, and Dean gives me a small 'sorry' look as he sees the grip the man has on my arm, it's like iron so no use trying to pull free without being suspicious, super strength and all."What the hell is this?" The man questions shining his torch down at the stuff on the ground near the grave with his other hand.
"Oh this-this is not what it looks like." Dean starts and chuckles nervously,
"Really?" He questions, "Because it looks like devil worship." He states suspicious,
"What? No, no! This is not devil worship, this...this is, this, this is the..." Dean starts trying to come up with a good explanation for it, I mentally face palm, way to blow it boys, you just haaaad to argue didn't ya?
"I don't have a good answer." Dean finally comes up with, smooth, Dean...real smooth.
"Look, we're lea-" Sam starts,
"It's for the play, I get separated from my friends and come across these two guys who are doing what looks like devil worship but are actually trying to communicate with their deceased nephew who was the only witness to his murder." I quickly put it,
"You're not going anywhere." The man starts completely ignoring me, wait, that smell, oh shit!
"Ever, again, Sam." He continues and I now I start trying to pull out of his grip,"Alastair." Dean says with hate in his tone and Alastair I guess turns to Dean and his eyes roll back, now I'm really trying but to no avail to get away. Alastair pays no attention to my struggling and continues to look at Dean
"I thought you got deep-fried extra crispy." Dean bites at him,
"Nooo, just the pediatrician I was riding. His wife's still lookin' for him, it's hilarious." Not good not good, need to get away now!
"Let her go." Dean says angrily,
"Whoops, I forgot I still had her in my grip, nah I think I'll hold onto her for now, anyway, no time to chat, got a hot date with death." Alastair replies with both Dean and Sam glaring at him and throws me back three rows of grave stones.
"Vil!" Dean calls then get thrown to the side,
"Dean!" I hear Sam yell as Dean lands unconscious judging by the way he didn't get up almost immediately, didn't land to lightly myself, I wince in pain and feel warm liquid run down the back of my head and turn to see I hit a tombstone.
