I look over at the boys, both unconscious, great, well, I don't blame them, well, there's nothing for it, gathering all the strength I can, I walk over and pick them both up, sling them over my shoulder and head outside, to where the Impala is parked. Jake had taught me how to drive, so I knew what I was doing, even though the sun burned down on my bloodied and bruised body that hurt like hell, I gently place them both in the car, get into the driver's seat and drive off fighting back the dreariness that threatens to take over, I'm loosing blood fast, the deep scratches and the big chunk of flesh taken out of me not healing, the stat I'm in, not even soy will make it better, I'm not walkin' this off. But, not just yet, I had to at least get these guys to safety.
After what seemed like ages I park at the hotel, fighting back the blackness again, I get up and out, pushing back the agony, sling the brothers over my shoulders again and run inside ignoring the horrified look of the receptionist. I burst into the room only just staying awake, I gently lay them both on their beds, check their pulse, they should wake soon. I attempt to pull up a chair but.........
Dean's POV
The last thing I remember is seeing Vil getting scratched at all down and across her back and her sides, but, something's different, am I? Lying down? Vil, Sam! I open my eyes and look up at the hotel ceiling, hotel ceiling? How'd I get here? Sam maybe? He was still conscious when I passed out, I roll my head slowly to the right where Sam's bed is, no, he's lying unconscious on it to I sigh with relief when I see the steady rise and fall of his chest. Vil! I slowly sit up and that's when I see her, lying on her front on the ground, in front of a chair. Maybe she was going to sit on it, to watch over Sam and I? To make sure we woke up? She lays there, still, too still, bloodied and bruised, still bleeding out, wait, if she's still bleeding out, that means. I get up and slowly bend down next to her, her eyes are half open and her mouth is agape, her breathing is slowing and isn't natural, it's getting raspier and raspier. No, she can't die, not now, ok, she's proven herself trustworthy, she doesn't have to die, I didn't expect her to die for us, just to prove her trust worthiness. I gently pick her up and carry her to the couch bridle style and gently lay her down on it. I run to the little kitchen and start going through that the cupboards seeing if we had any soy, but then I hear her voice remembering what she said 'For minor stuff like this...' the hang over '...a good bottle of soy will fix me up in a few minutes. Major stuff like broken bones or ripped flesh takes longer on soy. But, fatal injury or state of body, soy won't be enough.' Damn it! Son of a bitch! Wait there's more 'Unless I have actual human blood, well, I'm not walking it off.' There's nothing for it, I pull out one of her throwing knives where I kept them safe in my jacket, they're decorative yes, but not useless, there's nothing for it, it's the least I can do. I roll up my sleeve, open her mouth a little more and make a decent cut on my arm, I aim it so that the blood flows into her mouth.
When I what I hope is enough, I gently close her mouth and eyes properly and get a cloth and hold it to the cut, I then gently lift her up a bit to help her swallow the blood.
"Please, please let this work, come on, you can't give up now, what about your species, huh? Can't let them go extinct can you, come on Vilda, wake up, you gotta wake up. This is my fault, I screwed up, I shoulda trusted you. You warned us, you warned us how dangerous this was, you told us that this guy would be our doom, and he very nearly was." I admit angry with myself, "All you wanted was for us to trust you, to help us, you hated that son of a bitch, you wanted him dead but you wouldn't let us go near him, you wanted us to stay safe, and because I didn't listen Sammy, he could of died, if you hadn't of come we would have been history, and now, you're near death, I screwed up, again, that's all I seem to do, and now you're supposed to pay the ultimate price for that. Come Vil, you can't quit, if you die, those Beasts'll win, you can't let them win, you got a get up, you have to get up, you shouldn't have to die just cause I wouldn't trust you. This is my fault, and for that, I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry Vilda. Please, I need you to get, up, I need you to walk this off." I plea confessing. If she dies, I'll never forgive myself, she shouldn't have to die, no, not now, she should at least live to see her species repopulated and living in peace.
Suddenly, just when it seems she's gone, I hear a small groan, I only just hear it, "Vil? Vilda!" I call, another small groan and a small scrunch of her eyes, I breathe a sigh of relief, thank GOD. She moans again and her lolls a little from side to side and she slowly blinks her eyes open slightly.
"She's outside." She manages to get out when she sees me,
"What?" I ask confused, what is she taking about, who's outside?
"Don't worry, there's not a scratch." She breathes, I go to the window and look outside, there she is, my baby parked neatly outside our hotel, I turn back to Vil,
"You? You drove her? Back here?" I ask grateful though,
"Wasn't going to leave her out there to be stolen, or worse was I?" She says with a small amused smile, I smile a small smile back and walk over,
"Vilda." I begin,
"Yes?" She replies as she tries to sit up,
"Takes it easy for one," I say as I gently push her back down gently, "secondly, I'm so, so sorry for ever doubting you, and thank you, for getting me, Sammy and baby back safely, I would never forgive myself if-" I continue but she cuts me off,
"Apology accepted, you were just going on instinct, and it's my pleasure, and, thank you, for bringing me back." She says softly and gratefully,
"The least I could do." I reply truthfully, "Do you need anything else?" I ask as clearly she's still not fully recovered, but she gently shakes her head,
"Give it a few minutes and I'll be good, I'm gonna have a new scar though, and that bastard didn't fix you two up at all, only the areas I could see." She replies she looks at the cuts on my arm and I pull down my sleeve,
"It's fine, you just rest then." I insist
"I could fix it for you, and Sam too if you like, I dabbled in healing witchcraft, and it won't scar, no negative side affects that's a promise." She offers,
"Maybe, it's fine." I say as she drifts off again, I pull a loose strand of hair away from her face which is no longer in pain but at peace, it's, beautiful.
