"Is that what humans call it? What did they tell you happened?" I question,
"That a group of Vampires, on a young one's 'First Bite Night' followed her back to her the hidden society that she lived in, and there was a Great War, only 20 survived." He recites. I laugh out like 'my god',
"Really!? God damn it! That's insulting, my biggest mistake and they can't even get the facts right, ha! Insulting, it was no war, it was a purge, a massacre, a blood bath." I cry,
"You, you weren't that young Vampire were you?" He asks gravely,
"Yep, that was me, if had of been a little less, gutless." I say bitterly to myself,
"What do you mean?" He asks gently,
"It was my First Bite Night, the most important night of a Vampire, E.V or Beast. I was so resistant to do it, the guy, wanted to die, so badly he literally searched for me and begged me to take his life. I could see in his eyes, he wanted to die, but I still refused. They were watching me, those Beast, when they saw how cowardly I was. They simply decided that enough was enough, that our species was going to the dogs and we all had to be executed. So, they followed me back, to the once save haven I called home. God only knows what that night did to me, the screams, the smells, the scene that was playing out in front of me, it scarred me." I inform,
"I know how you feel, to feel like something's your fault." He says
"How, and it?" I ask,
"Blaming yourself for something that wasn't your fault, you didn't know they were watching." He says understandingly recognising the look in my eyes as he sees it every time he looks the mirror,
"That's not entirely true." I say quietly,
"You're depressed, well, that would explain the completely stripped of emotion tone." He says,
"That obvious is it? Well, you gonna waste me or what?" I ask dryly,
"Can't now I know the truth, evidence is fake, now I know the truth, but one thing is still unanswered, how you've survived this long." He states,
"Told you, I'm evolved, we've evolved the ability to not have to drink human blood to survive, they are a few substitutes, but the one I use, is soy sauce, cause of its salt contents, and sweet soy, cause I'm sweet tooth." I inform dryly,
"Really?" He asks fascinated,
"Yep." I answer,
"Well, want get out of here?" He offers,
"Dunno, never thought about moving." I reply truthfully,
"I mean well, I was sent here to do a job, and you seem to be wasting away in here, and well, I don't know what it's like to be the last of your species, but I do know what's like to be thought a monster." He admits,
"And you humans call yourselves the better species, I've lived though wars between you humans, what over? Land? Products? Supremacy? It's hypocritical!" I cry,
"We are pretty bad, but there are some good ones." He insists,
"You didn't take any offence to that?" I ask,
"I know that some of us are bad, but that doesn't give you guys the right to feed off us." He warns,
"That's the thing, Beasts believe that they're the superior species, that they should be top dog, and that's why they're slaughtering humans, but every time, E.Vs remind them that we started it, before the evolution took place, all vampire WERE evil blood thirsty creatures, but, as we E.Vs call him, Father of all E.Vs, Vlad Tepes decided that he didn't want to live like that, but in peace and harmony along side humans, many agreed, but, many wanted to stay traditional, and alas, E.Vs and 'True Vampires' were born." I inform,
"Guess history for us got that wrong too." he says,
"How so?" I ask curiously,
"Vlad in our folklore was the first Vampire." He informs,
"Wrong, he was the first E.V." I correct,
"Oh ok, so, are you going to come or stay." He asks
"What the Hell, just let me get my hoody and sunglasses." I say stand and goes and puts both on,
"You don't burn up in the sun though." He states
"No but it still hurts like Hell, well, Hell itself doesn't hurt, the demons and stuff there do hurt ya." I inform,
"You've been to Hell?" He asks in shock,
"A fair few times yeah, to visit a furry friend, ever heard of Cerberus?" I ask,
"The Greek God Hades's Hell Hound? What about him?" He asks suspiciously
"Humans have dogs as their best friends, I have Cerberus as mine, very kind and loyal if he likes you, if he doesn't, run bitch, run fast and far." I state
"I love dogs, really? Well, remind me not to get on his bad side. Well, come on." He says in a 'matter of factly' tone,
"How'd you get here?" I ask as I walk to entrance of the cave with him,
"My brother's car, a 1967 Chevy Impala." He informs,
"Um, where IS the car?" I ask softly,
"Uuuuum, in, the village." He says trying to buy time for something to say,
"Oh I can't go through there, they'll attack me!" I exclaim,
"You're right p, sorry, I forgot I was meant to kill you." He apologises,
"Yeah. Hang on, that jacket look pretty roomy, for a bat." I say in a 'I'm just saying' tone
"Um, I, don't know, I don't want to squish you." He warns. "Uuuum, you sure?" He asks,
"Yeah, I'll be fine." I say as I change into a bat,
"Aaalright." He says as he picks me up and puts me in her jacket pocket and walks to the car. Because I'm curious, I pop my head out to look at it,
"Wow! Neat ride." I think to myself. He gets in the awesome car, after telling the mayor that I was taken care of. He drives off out of the village. He lets me out only when we're miles away from the town. I crawl onto the seat next to him, change back and ask him, "So, what are you going to do with me, I can't stay with you and you're brother forever."
"True, but for now, unless you have a safe place where no one can hurt you, you're staying with me, whether Dean likes it or not." He replies in a definite tone.
