Chapter 126

Previously on Chapter 125

"You should rest too, Senku-Chan..." a voice said. I turn my head to see it's Gen. "Go on. Sleep... you're our brain. It will be bad if you get sick too" he said. I let out a sigh and nod my head. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep, next to the two most important people in my life.

-How Could I Let This Happen?-

Y/N P.O.V

My eyes flutter open and they instantly land on Byakuya as he sleeps next to me. His chest rise and fall with even breaths. I smile softly as I gently run my hand through his hair.

I feel a pair of arms around my waist from behind. I turn my head slightly to see Senku. He has his chin resting on the crook of my neck as he held me close. I lift my hand, reaching back to gently caress his hair. He moves in his sleep and snuggles closer. His arms tightening around me.

"Mmm..." he hummed sleepily. His eyes flutter open and they landed on me. A sleepy smile starts to form on his face as he gaze into my eyes with a loving gaze. "My favorite sight to wake up to" he said. He leans in and gently place a kiss on my cheek. I squeak a little as he pulls me even tighter.

"Careful... you're going to wake Byakuya" I said. He just hums softly, still hugging me. I let out a hushed giggle. Senku has always been clingy when we just woke up. Especially now that we have a son where my care and attention is on Byakuya most of the time. So when he has a change to hold me or simply show me love, he would cling to me like a koala.

"I don't wanna let go..." he said. But his moment is soon cut short when Byakuya opens his eyes and starts to cry. He let out a sigh and sits up. I sit up as well, scooping our son into my arms. "Man... I really can't compete with this little baby, huh?" He said. I let out a giggle as I gently pat Byakuya's back, trying to calm him down.

Senku shakes his head. He moves to stand up. He leans down and place a kiss on the top of my head. "I have some things to do..." he said. I nod my head. He turns around and walks out.

I just sit on the side as I watch Senku working on his science. As usual, he didn't let me help. He told me to just focus on looking after Byakuya. I have my son sat on my lap as I sit on a stone.

I turn my head to look at Byakuya, to see him watching his father in awe. I smile softly at how eager he seems. I know for a fact, and without a doubt that he will follow his father's path and be the next scientist. He already has all the traits. The sparkling look in his eyes when he just discovered new things is identical to the look in Senku's eyes.

I lean down, gently placing a soft kiss on the top of his head. He tilt his head up to look at me. "Mama..." he cooed. I smile softly and turn him to face me. I gently nuzzle my nose side to side with his. He crunch up his nose, making me giggle. He tilt his head slightly before laughing along with me. I notice a few more teeth have grown in his mouth. I smile softly, knowing my son is growing well.

I hear a loud fart coming from Byakuya. He got startled by the sound and starts crying. "There there... it's okay" I said. I pull him into a hug. I smell something stinky. I pull Byakuya's pants a little to see he had pooped. I pull away to look at him to see he looks uncomfortable. I let out a giggle at the face he's making. "Stinky little baby~" I said, in a sing song voice. He pouted at my words. I let out a giggle once more at his reaction.

I stand up with him in my arms. "Senku?" I called out to my husband. He stop what he was doing and turn to me. "Byakuya pooped. I need to clean him up" I said.

He turn his head to look at Byakuya. He let out a soft chuckle when he notice the adorable look of discomfort on his little face. He turns to me and smiles. He nod his head lightly. "Okay. Try not to get too far, okay?" He said. I smile softly and nod my head. I turn around, walking off as I make my way towards the closest stream of river.

Senku P.O.V

Y/N's been gone for a while. I start to feel worry. I turn to look at the direction she had walked off to when she said she needs to tend to Byakuya. There's still no sign of her. I bit my lower lips out of worry.

"Hey. I'm gonna go check up on Y/N and Byakuya for a bit, okay?" I said, to no one in particular. I hear a reply from one of them. I pay no mind and didn't bother to see who it is that responded. I make my way to the direction Y/N had walked off a while ago.

"Y/N?" I called out. I look down around the stream area. But I don't see any sign of Y/N. Panic starts to grow within me. "Y/N!! If this is a prank, it's not funny! Don't worry me!" I yelled out. I look around frantically. But I can't spot my wife or son. Where the hell are they??

I turn my head to the side and notice something stuck on the rock by the gentle stream. I walk towards it. I reach down and pick it up. My eyes widen when I realize it's Byakuya's little anklet that Y/N had made for him from string.

"Y/N!! Byakuya!!!" I yelled out, frantically trying to look for my wife and son. I breathe heavily. I hear footsteps coming closer. I turn my head to see it's Gen. He must've heard my yell.

"What's wrong, Senku-Chan?" He asked. He turn his head to look at my hand that is clutching Byakuya's anklet. He looks around for a moment before turning to look at me again. "Y/N and Byakuya is missing?" He asked.

My heart clenched in my chest at what he said. I clutch the anklet so tight that my fingers turns white. I grit my teeth out of frustration.

"It was just last night..." I muttered. I turn my head to look at Gen. "IT WAS JUST LAST NIGHT!! I promised her that I'd never let anything happen to her or our son!" I yelled. I feel angry tears building up in my eyes. My body starts to tremble from anger. What happened to my wife and son. And most importantly... how could I let this happen?
