Chapter 127

Previously on Chapter 126

"It was just last night..." I muttered. I turn my head to look at Gen. "IT WAS JUST LAST NIGHT!! I promised her that I'd never let anything happen to her or our son!" I yelled. I feel angry tears building up in my eyes. My body starts to tremble from anger. What happened to my wife and son. And most importantly... how could I let this happen?

-Worried Sick-

Senku P.O.V

Everyone decide to spread around, trying to look for my wife and baby. I feel panic rising and growing within me each passing seconds. We have that person after us, now Y/N and my son is missing. Gosh, Y/N... Byakuya... where the hell are you two?

"Senku?" A voice called out. I turn my head to see Y/N, carrying Byakuya. I let out a shaky breath as I speed walk towards her. I throw my arms around the two of them.

"Where the hell have you been??" I finally let out after trying to calm my racing heart. I pull away and cup her cheeks. "Do you have any idea how worried I was??" I said.

"Sorry... Byakuya wanted an apple we spotted on a tree a little further inside the forest" she said. I turn my head to look at Byakuya. He's lightly munching on the apple in his hands. He's staring at me with his rounded eyes. I let out a sigh and lower my head, resting my head on the top of Byakuya's head.

"I thought something bad had happened to you both, Y/N... I was worried sick" I said. I lift my head from Byakuya's and place a soft kiss on Y/N's forehead. My hand gently tangling in her h/c hair. "Don't do that to  me. You could've told me first before going somewhere" I muttered softly as I let my lips linger against her skin.

Y/N P.O.V

His lips trembled slightly as he keeps them rested on my forehead. "I'm sorry, Senku..." I said. He pulls me close. I rest my head against his chest. Byakuya just continues to munch on the apple I had gotten him. He let out a soft burp, making me giggle softly at the cute sound.

"Promise me you'd tell me before going somewhere?" He said. I smile softly and nod my head. "I can't lose either of you, Y/N..." he said. I lift my head to look at him. He leans down to kiss me. But before his lips come in contact with mine, Byakuya lift the apple between our lips. He let out a sigh and chuckle softly. "Really can't have a little moment with your mom, huh?" He said, nuzzling his cheek against Byakuya's.

"My mama..." he said, pouting before taking another bite from the apple. Senku let out a chuckle before ruffling his hair. "Hmph!" He pouted even more at his father's action. I let out a soft giggle at their playful fight.

Senku gently scoops up Byakuya into his arms. "What am I gonna do with you?" He said, nuzzling his cheek against Byakuya's. Byakuya whined, not liking the way his dad is handling him. He shove the half-eaten apple into Senku's mouth when Senku tries to kiss his cheek. Senku got startled by Byakuya's action. He use his free hand to take the apple away from his mouth.

"You really are a mama's boy, huh?" He said. He hands Byakuya back to me. Byakuya makes grabby hands at Senku. Senku thinks he wants to be carried, and reach out to carry him. But Byakuya quickly shakes his head, which makes Senku confused.

"A... Apple..." Byakuya finally said, realizing his dad didn't get what he meant while still making grabby hands. His round eyes are set on his apple that is now in Senku's hand. I let out a laugh at the face Senku makes because of Byakuya. He looks like he had just been slapped. He let out a sigh and shakes his head, handing the apple back to Byakuya who happily takes another bite.

I yelped when a pair of arms is thrown around me. I try to keep my balance so I don't fall over in worry Byakuya might get hurt. I turn my head to see it's Kohaku.

"You had us worried sick!" She said. I let out a nervous laugh as I wrap one arm around her while still holding Byakuya. I gently rub her back, trying to comfort her. "I thought something happened to you!!" She cried out.

"I'm sorry, Kohaku..." I said, still patting her back. She pulls away from me and gives me a stern gaze. I let out a nervous laugh, knowing she's very upset with me. "I... won't do it again, I promise" I said, trying to assure her.

"You better not!" She said, pointing a finger at me. I let out another nervous laugh, before nodding my head at her demand. The others soon gathered around us. They all look equally relieved to know that I'm alright.

Byakuya is asleep in between Senku and I. Senku has his arm under his head as he stares at me with a soft gaze. He reaches over and gently cup my cheek. The pad of his thumb gently caress my skin.

Senku takes out a bracelet from his pocket. "I didn't even realize his anklet is missing" I said, as I watch Senku out the anklet back on Byakuya's ankle being extra careful not to wake the sleeping boy. "I'm really sorry, Senku. I didn't mean to worry you" I said, turning to look at him.

"Please don't go off without telling me next time, okay?" He said. I close my eyes as I nuzzle into his touch. "I was really scared, you know? I thought something bad had happened to you, and Byakuya" he said.

He turns his gaze to look at our son. He leans down, placing a soft kiss on Byakuya's head. Byakuya moves in his sleep and turns to lay on his side. I gently pat his lower back to make sure he won't wake up.

"I promise, if I wanna go somewhere, I'd tell you first" I said. He smiles and nod his head. He prop himself up with his elbow. He lowers his head, and gently press his lips on my forehead, cheeks, and finally my lips.

"I love you, Y/N..." he whispered in a soft voice. I close my eyes as he leans his forehead against mine, while also making sure Byakuya didn't get squished. "I love you so much..." he added.

"I love you too, Senku..." I said. He let out a sigh and gets up. He moves to lay behind me. His arms moves to wrap around my waist, pulling me closer. His back is pressed against my back. "Good night, Senku..." I said, in a soft voice.

"Good night, my world..." he whispered, placing a light kiss on my shoulder. I smile softly, heart fluttering at how gentle he is with me. I close my eyes while letting out a content sigh. I feel my body relaxing as I drift off to sleep.
