Chapter 125

Previously on Chapter 124

"Senku..? Senku!" I called out. He snapped out of his daze and turn to look at me. I turn to look at Gen. "Just what is out there?" I asked. He turn his head to look at me. My eyes widen at what he said. An airplane...??!!

-Who Are They?!-

Y/N P.O.V

Senku quickly push me inside when the airplane starts shooting at us. Senku wraps his arms around Byakuya and I to shield us from potential bullets. Byakuya starts to cry. He must be so scared. I press his head against my chest, covering his other ear as the other one is against my chest.

"Shh... mommy's here, baby..." I said, in a soft voice. Our boat speeds off, trying to get as far away from the airplane as possible. But it's much faster than us. I keep Byakuya close as I try my best to keep him calm.

It took us awhile, but we managed to get away to safety. I place Byakuya on my chest. His head rested on my shoulder. I gently pat his back, trying to calm him down. I hum a soft lullaby as he keeps crying.

Senku walks up to us. He takes a seat next to me. He lift his hand, gently patting his hair. "Shhh... you're a strong little guy, Byakuya. Don't worry... nothing will happen to us" he said, in a hushed voice as he tries to calm our son.

Byakuya eventually calms down. He nuzzles his face into the crook of my neck. I gently sway him as he drift off to sleep. I turn my head to look at Senku as I held our son close.

"The enemy seems to have a much more advanced science than us, Senku. What are we going to do?" I asked in a worry tone. I feel myself growing panic. I'm scared my son will get hurt if we get caught in that crossfire.

"Hey... look at me" I heard Senku said. But I didn't react as I try not to hyperventilate. "Y/N? Hey. Look at me" he repeated. I feel his hand cupping my cheek. He turn my head to look at him. His eyes soften as he sees the fear in my eyes. "We'll figure something out... like we always have" he said. I just stare at him. He leans his forehead against mine.

"Don't you trust me, Y/N?" He asked, when he notice the doubt in my eyes. I nod my head lightly. "Then trust me. Trust that I will make sure nothing happens to both you, and our son" he said.

"Okay..." I said, in a soft voice. He smiles softly at me. He leans down, placing his lips against my forehead. I close my eyes as he let his lips linger against my skin. A soft smile forming on my face at his loving gesture.

I scoot closer to his side. I rest my head on his shoulder, while still holding Byakuya. I feel Byakuya's chest rise and fall in a steady rhythm as he sleeps with his head on my shoulder. Senku wrap an arm around me, pulling me closer to his side.

"I will keep you both safe. I promise, Y/N" Senku said, reassuringly. "Whatever it'll take. I will protect the two of you" he said. I nod my head, deciding to trust my husband. Senku never failed to protect me. I'm sure he'd know what to do.

Senku P.O.V

I gently caress Y/N's head as I adjust her body to lying position. I stare at her face as she sleeps. Byakuya is also asleep and he's next to her. These two people are my most important treasure.

My mind went back to the times where I nearly lost her. Especially, after the fight she went through with Hyoga. That day, I really thought I was going to lose my wife. I don't wanna go through that again.

Maybe it's a bad idea to let her tag along. I should have just make her stay back at the Science Kingdom. She'd be far away from all the danger we'd be facing out here. I'm starting to regret letting her come with me. But of course, I can't voice that out. I can't let Y/N know that I'm having second thoughts.

She has enough to worry about. I don't wanna make it worse. She has to focus on taking care of our son, and worrying too much would affect her hormone. It could lead to the lack of breast milk production, and it will be bad for our little baby.

"I won't let anything happen to you, Y/N..." I muttered. A look of determination shines in my eyes. "I won't let myself go through that pain again. The pain and fear of almost losing the most important person" I said. I turn my gaze to look at our son. "Even more reason to fight now that we have our little baby..." I said. I gently run my hand through Byakuya's head.

I look outside to see the sky is darkening. We should be safe for now. But we can't be too sure. I have to stay guarded. Anything could go wrong at any moment, and I refuse to take a risk, knowing what will be at stake.

I turn to look at my wife and son. A smile forms on my face at the sight of them. I place a kiss on Byakuya's head, and Y/N's forehead. She moves a little in her sleep which makes me froze.

"Shh... it's okay" I cooed in a soft voice. She finally relax as she falls back to sleep. I let out a sigh of relief. Y/N needs all the rest she could get. The only thing she'd experience is anxiety, and it's not good for her health. So I have to make sure she'd feel calm at all cost.

"You should rest too, Senku-Chan..." a voice said. I turn my head to see it's Gen. "Go on. Sleep... you're our brain. It will be bad if you get sick too" he said. I let out a sigh and nod my head. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep, next to the two most important people in my life.
