it was a warm evening in february so sai thought it was perfect to finally tell analeya.
sai'elle was pacing the living room like she was 15 and about to tell her mama she skipped school, not a grown woman about to tell her girlfriend the biggest news of their life.
when analeya came in, tired from work she side-eyed sai.
"why you look like you did something bad?"
sai swallowed her nerves, slid the little box across the coffee table.
inside: a tiny onesie that said hi mommy, six pregnancy tests, and a pacifier tucked in the corner.
analeya frowned confused and lifted the lid slow. her eyes scanned the tests, then the onesie. "sai'elle, what is this?"
sai's voice wobbled but she forced the words out: "i'm pregnant."
analeya shakily laughed before her eyes filled with tears. "be serious right now."
"i am. six tests and my bladder absolutely hates me but it's real bae."
her voice cracked. "you're really pregnant?"
sai nodded hard smiling with tears spilling out.
analeya hugged her tightly. "baby, i can't believe it's finally happening."

the next morning, sai & analeya decided to tell emoni and tristan.
sai pulled her daughter close to them. "well i gotta tell you guys something important."
emoni tilted her head.
"well you know mommy loves you a lot? me & analeya both and we really appreciate you tristan."
"yes i know mommy."
"i know, yall okay?" tristan asked confused.
"well, you're gonna be a big sister and you're gonna be a dad again. i have a baby in here." she said pointing to her tummy
"both of you guys!?" emoni gasped.
"no baby, just mommy. not me." analeya said laughing.
"ayeee congratulations. im so proud of you guys, thank you for letting me be apart of your journey." tristan said hugging them both.
"does that mean i get a new friend?" emoni asked shyly.
they laughed and sai hugged her tight. "yes baby."
emoni kissed her mommy's cheek. "i'll share my toys but not the dolls."
