"There you see her

Sitting there across the way

She don't got a lot to say

But there's something about her"

Logan watched you from his bedroom window. You were sitting in the garden, using your powers to help the flowers bloom brighter. You came to the school as a teacher a few months ago. In a short time, you enamored everyone— Logan included. The part that he found amazing about it was that you are mute. You can hear just fine, see just fine, but you don't speak verbally. You write or use your eyes or use your hands. Your hands amazed Logan the most. They controlled the nature around you and used sign language in a way that had Logan holding his breath every time.

"And you don't know why

But you're dying to try

You wanna kiss the girl"

Logan questioned when you first got to the school if you'd even fit in, but you quickly proved him wrong and even had him wrapped around your finger. You were different— in the best of ways. But Logan struggled to communicate clearly with you. His hands were smooth and he could never remember enough signs to understand the fluid movements of your hands. He hated himself for it, so he went about avoiding you. Though it never lasted long, you always seemed to pull him into your orbit anyway.

"Yes, you want her

Look at her, you know you do

Possible she wants you too

There is one way to ask her

It don't take a word

Not a single word

Go on and kiss the girl"

Rogue and Storm watched with knowing eyes as Logan shamelessly stared at you. You were helping Jean cook dinner.

"Maybe you could make it less obvious you're madly in love, Logan," Rogue giggled.

"Not in love," Logan mumbled with a grunt. His eyes still didn't pull away from you.

"Really?" Storm teasingly questioned. "Because your face says otherwise."

Logan shot the women a glare, causing them to laugh.

"Seriously, Logan," Rogue continued, "why don't you make a move?"

"She doesn't see me that way," Logan grumbled.

"You don't know that. She could very well want you too. In fact," Rogue leaned closer, "I'm pretty sure that I saw her staring at you when you were running drills outside this week."

"Me too," added Storm. "She was practically drooling over the fact that you were shirtless."

"Stop lyin' to me," Logan said.

"I promise we're not," Rogue said. "I'm sure that if you just got up and kissed her, it would prove us right."

"I can't just kiss her! I can barely communicate with her!"

"Kiss first. Communication second."

Storm shook her head with a smile. "Or... if you would really like to learn to communicate with her, we could help you learn to understand sign language? Maybe even teach you to sign a few words?"

Logan's eyes flicked back to you as you excitedly signed to Jean and Jean laughed. "Okay," he agreed after a moment, looking over at Storm and Rogue. "But it's gotta be private."
