LxLight- Change of events

When Near woke up he had slept till midday. He was woken by Matt and Mello doing more experiments. He sighed and went and made himself breakfast straight away. When he returned Light was hot again and Near rushed around as before. Matt and Mello took a shower because of the chocolate incident and as always, ended up having sex. They then had their lunch and Mello finally agreed to play video games with Matt. Near started arranging his robots on the floor and did this until Light needed his medicine. He then started playing scenarios with his finger puppets.

Mello gave up on playing with Matt after he lost the sixth game. Instead he had taken to making out and undressing Matt on the sofa. Before they could progress the phone went off.

"Fuck sake." Mello got up to answer it. "Hello?"

"Good evening Mello."

"Oh, hello L."

"I called to say that I have to stay in Japan for another day but I'll be back tomorrow night."

"Oh okay."

"But let me say a few things first, tell Near what I just told you and be sure to clean the chocolate and... cream from my bed sheets." Mello's face turned pale.

"I-I uh,"

"Also don't swear it's not good and don't swear when the phone goes off. That's rude." L was smiling and hung up laughing at the humiliation on Mello's face that he saw through the security camera.

Mello walked back into Matt who looked curiously at Mello's expression.

"What's wrong?"

"L's been watching us and he's watching us now." Matt jumped up putting his shirt back on and doing up his jeans. Mello smiled as Matt panicked and he lost control of his emotions. Matt is so cute. He blinked a few times realising what he had thought and then ran out of the room. "I have to speak to Near!" He shouted and went upstairs pushing the door open.

"What is it Mello?"

"L said he'll be back tomorrow night."

"Oh alright." Mello looked around the room at the amount of toys strewn around. He backed out as Near was playing with Robots and Mello always found it creepy. He ran back down to Matt who grabbed him and dragged him upstairs. They pushed their door open and Matt lay down on the bed.

"We're going to need to clean that."

"Well what's the point of cleaning it if we're just going to make them dirty again?" He said it seductively and Mello could no longer resist.

The next day Mello and Matt cleaned up their mess and decided to explore the other rooms together. Near realised that he hadn't heard Matt or Mello for a while and Light seemed in a stable state, so he left to go find them. Matt and Mello had found a box of matches and then found the death note. L felt the need to intervene as he was watching through the monitor but he was quite curious to see what they did and what the consequences would be. Near walked into the room they were in finally and saw Matt and Mello facing eachother. Matt held the open book and Mello holding an open flame underneath.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" Near yelled and ran at them. They both pulled their items away and Mello tried to push him back.

"We just want to see what it does! What happens you know?"

"But what if it kills Light?!"

"It won't kill him, shut up." Near gave up knowing that L was watching and would stop them if he wanted. Instead Near sat beside them and watched. They all stared at the flame and then Matt and Mello looked at eachother and both nodded. They put the flame to the book and it lit. Matt flinched but kept a hold of it, burning his hands. There was an almost sound of screeching as the book turned to ash.

L watched in the cameras at both the book and Light. When it was a pile of ash Light started struggling and screaming. L called the house immediately and when Near heard it ringing he ran straight to Light knowing it was L telling him to do so. He pushed the door open and saw Light struggling and screaming. He ran to him, dodging his toys. He held Light's hand and tried to calm him to no avail. But suddenly Light shot straight up and looked in to the camera, hidden in the wall.

"You've won, L." He fell back on the bed and the last of Kira's soul left his mouth through a puff of smoke. Light fell back down in a fever and Near looked at him for a second before cooling him down again. L told Watari he needed to go back immediately and they organised it with the airport then left. He called Near to say that he was already on the plane and that Near shouldn't worry and he should continue as he had before. Mello and Matt carefully picked up all the remains of the death note into a bag, then a box and then a safe they left the room but not before Near ran in and took the box of matches. He ran back off with them and the two older boys just shrugged it off and went to their room. Neither of them knew that L was on his way home so when they began to fuck they had no plans to stop.

Near returned to the room and started to arrange the matches in patterns on the floor. He looked up at Light and noticed that his breathing had become normal again. Near smiled and kept playing with the matches but sighed when he heard Matt and Mello, again. He knew that really he should be warning them of L's arrival but instead thought it'd be much funnier if they didn't know.

L was on the plain above France so was almost there. He couldn't wait to see Light again and make sure he was okay. When he landed, Watari took him straight home. He walked up to the

door and could hear a muffled sound from inside. He pushed the key in slowly and the moans were louder and clearer. He knew who it was and found it both amusing and disturbing. He slowly walked towards Lights room and opened the door to a face full of train track. Near looked up and smiled as L walked under the tracks and over the other toys. He sat on the bed beside Light after picking Near up and cuddling him. They watched Light who just looked as if he was sleeping peacefully. L was surprised that the moans weren't waking him. He must have still been in a deep sleep. L stroked his hair from Light's eyes and put Near down.

"I think I should go and see the others. I'll be right back." He left the room and walked towards where he had seen Mello and Matt previously. He knocked on the door and Mello shouted from inside,

"FUCK OFF NEAR!"

"Excuse me this is my house and I'll come in." Mello and Matt froze and as the door clicked open they dove off the other side of the bed and hid. L tried not to begin laughing when they stood up in just their underwear and still doing up their trousers. "Come on you two Light's getting better. We're going to wait for him to get up." L turned and went out the room as Matt and Mello picked up the rest of their clothes and followed finishing getting dressed. They walked back into Light and dodged Near's toys to stand around the bed. Mello gave Near one of his famous death stares and Near grinned tormentingly. The three boys stood at the bottom of the bed and L sat by Light stroking his hair and face.

"Light?" He said quietly as if trying to coax him out of his dreams. The boy stirred slightly and Near's breath caught in his throat. He had watched Light ill and it finally looked like he was getting better. "Light, wake up baby." Light's eyes flickered open and he saw L's smiling face gazing at him. He smiled back and rolled on to his back. The first thing he saw was a toy railway track and motorized train zooming over his head. He was confused and so sat up to see Near beaming at him and Mello and Matt smiling too. Their hair was messed up and their faces flushed. It reminded him of him and L. He tried not to laugh or smile and when he looked at L he had the same expression. But suddenly something stirred in Light's throat. Seeing the colour from Light's face go and his expression, L yelled at the boys, "The bucket, quickly!" Matt dashed for the bucket by the bed and threw it at L who handed it to Light. He threw up almost straight away and L moved closer comforting him. Near took the bucket off him and handed him a flannel when he was finished. He leant in to L who was overjoyed that Light was once again conscious.
