"What do you mean she's dead?" Dally asked.

I wasn't sure how or why I knew but I did.

"What do you mean!" He yelled.

I'm not an emotional person but the way he was speaking to me made me flinch.

I was in Sodas arms.
"Dally stop, please." Soda asked.
"Tell me!" He demanded agin.

He was scaring me. My eyes filled with tears.

"Damn it Dallas, enough!" Sodapop yelled.

The room was quiet as silent tears fell down my face. I took a deep shaky breath.

"Dad killed her Dal. She caught on and killed her. He's gonna find me, I have a feeling he's gonna blame me."

By then I was crying.

I slowly got up and went into Darry's room. No one would bother me in here. There was a loud commotion coming from outside the door. Everything went silent and then a door slammed. I cringed know that Dallas didn't love our parents but liked mom.

I sighed and fell to the floor. It was nice down here.

"Ellie!" It was Soda.
I rolled under Darrys bed.

"Ellie please?"

I heard the door open. I just stayed under the bed. I buried my head into my arms. I felt hands grab ahold of my ankles and being pulled out from under the bed. I just stayed still.

"Come on Els, don't be like this." Soda kept dragging me out.
"Is she dead?" Two-Bit asked.

I took one hand and put it up, giving him the finger.

"Guess not."

My body was aching from being dragged. I was quick with my feet. Pulling them out of Sodas grasp and tripping him onto the floor. Then I got on top of him and pinned him.

"God you look like shit." Two-Bit said.
"Thanks I didn't notice."

Soda smiled.
"You good?" He asked.

I couldn't help but smile.

"Yeah."
"Good." And I flipped me over.

I heard the door open and close.
"Soda, what are you doing?" It was Johnny.

"She needed some cheering up."
"Oh."
"Hey Johnny where's Pony?" I asked. Soda sat on me now.

"He's at the park I think."
"Ok thank you." And I pushed Soda off of me and headed to the door.

"I'll be back. Don't worry."
