A New Hope

The fierce fight between Kwang Soo and Gary that night had spread like a wildfire. It was one of the top list which was searched from viewers through the social media. It was a relief that both of their managers were both good friends since high school. In this situation, they never push the blame to one another. Being responsible, the managers decided to meet up privately and tried to settle the major problem that the two men caused.

Once they had made a discussion to solve this unwanted problem. Kwang Soo manager excused himself and drove all the way to his house. There Kwang Soo was, siting on the couch while watching the drama played on TV. His manager swing the door hard and throw his tantrum on him. On his hand, there was a stack of paper where it was Kwang Soo's recent script that was offered for an upcoming drama.

"Have you lost your mind, Lee Kwang Soo-ssi??! Why in the world did you hit him in the public?!!!!" His manager was in deep anger that he threw the schedule paper on Kwang Soo's face. The thrown paper caused a mild cut on his cheek.

"Ii-I...." Kwang Soo was unable to get his words that he only remain silent, feeling ashamed of himself for not controlling his anger.

"It's gone viral once you made a major mistake!!! If you ever did that one more time, I swear that your contract will be pulled off that no one wants to hire you!!!"

It's now Monday once more. Another day where the two men were needed to shown up for the show. While filming for Running Man, they fake out that they remained good friends until the cameras stop rolling. Kwang Soo was devasted with his stupid action in the fight that he fastened himself in the store room as a penalty.

Day by day, he hated himself even more that he will hit his fist on the wall everyday. He was used of punching it, pretending that it's a sack bag. His fists for now were rougher than before.

Jong Kook was looking for his the youngest member around the building. They were supposed to meet up in the meeting room since they will be given a short brief from the PD as usual. He jogged hurriedly at the fifth floor while search for him, till he heard a few loud bang behind the store room.

Feeling odd, the Sparta man tried to turned the knob. The door was lock from the inside. He lowered his body and peeped at the tiny gap below the door, the light wasn't switched on as well. He waited patiently till he heard another hit in it. Jong Kook turned pale. He quickly knocked the door as much again, knowing that it's Kwang Soo behind it.

He started to called out his name and plead Kwang Soo to join the rest for the short brief.

"Kwang Soo!! Open it up!! We had a brief from the PD soon!! You are the last member we are waiting for!! Don't let hyung smash the door up just to get you out of there!"

On the other hand, Kwang Soo was sobbed pathetically and hid himself at the corner. He turned away himself to the wall. His forehead was rested on it with his both knees being hugged. He hate to show his face to everyone for now in his life. The neat store room had turned into a huge mess. Not just by hitting his fist, he flipped very equipment around the room with all his might.

"Just go...GO!!! LEAVE ME ALL ALONE!!!"

There were no strength left in him, yet he yelled with his grief manner. This was the first time where he yelled at Jong Kook hyung in his life. It was a closed room that it was stuffy to stay in it at a long hour. He was sweating heavily, with the thick clothes that he put on earlier. He was dehydrated for staying too long in the room.

"Oppa...Why are you yelling? I swear I could hear it from two floors above." Ji Hyo asked as she ran to the same floor where Jong Kook was.

"Get the keys!! Palli, Ji Hyo. Kwang Soo is in there. He's locking himself in there for a long time. There isn't any vendilation, I'm afraid....."

Jong Kook words awaken Ji Hyo immediately. Kwang Soo might be running out of breath by now. She was in panic mode and tried to get the keys in a great speed.

"Arasso!!!! Wait here with Kwang Soo."

He heard that Jong Kook was trying getting the others to get the spare key for the store room. He had his sight to the door. He was shacking badly with nervousness. He slowly used his last strength and began to pile up those heavy items behind the door, making sure that none of them could swing freely the door.

The room was pitch dark that he bumped himself on a stack of heavy boxes at a very short distance. Kwang Soo spotted a rusty blade hidden under a wooden table.

Full of sorrow, he picked the blade and keep his sight in it. The feeling that he had bared for a long period had finally exploded. He was out of his mind once again.

He squeezed the blade too hard causing his fingers to bleed. Ignoring the pain from the deep cut, he placed the blade on his wrist. He was about to cut it off to end his life right away.

"Goodbye my love...May you have Gary hyung with you for the rest of your life. You will have my blessings all the time."

A young man with a nerd glasses was in the store room at that hour. He witnessed Kwang Soo's every single move that he quickly get his courage to stop the uncontrollable man from overdoing it. He claimed himself as is Jae Kwan which is a new staff member for Running Man.

"Andwae!!! Hyung...Lee Kwang Soo-ssi. Don't do this. Please!!!!" Jae Kwan begged.

"Don't make me do this!!! Leave now!!!" Kwang Soo was losing out of strength in every second. Finding himself trembling in fear and anger at the same time. He wanted the new staff member to get away from the store room right away.

"Kwang Soo-ssi!!! Please drop the blade. It's not save to play with it."

Kwang Soo watched him with a flare in his heart. He treatened Jae Kwan by facing the blade towards him in just two seconds before having it back on the wrist. Still there was no movement from Jae Kwan, only their breathing was heard heavily.

Although Kwang Soo couldn't see the figure well due to the dark room, he was still having the blade in his hand. Waiting for the right timing to cut it off just like that.

"Hyung...You still have your family and friends to support you. Even me by your side. I can be a good friend with you. Believe me, hyung. Don't end your life just like that." Jae Kwan spoke calmly, trying to convince Kwang Soo to not hurt himself.

Kwang Soo watched the unrecognized man with his empty eyes. His mucus were drooling from his nostrils still he never wiped it off.

Thinking about the young guy's words for a long moment, he slowly dropped it on the ground and kneeled down. That man then walked in a light of speed just to kicked the knife away from Kwang Soo.

A few seconds later, the knob was unlocked then. Thanks to the staff who owned the spare key. Jong Kook quickly lift his hand to the wall which was beside the door and switched on the lights.

Each of them were stunned at the door entrance when they watched the youngest member who was kneeling with despair. The room was in a total mess around the room.

"What the hell????" Haha was stunned with the mess that Kwang Soo caused.

Ji Hyo was the first member who ran towards him and hugged him tightly. Spotted that Kwang Soo's fingers were bleeding, she started to cry. Ji Hyo was furious and panicked of Kwang Soo that was having depression lately.

"Hyung..I'm leaving to get the medical kit in the room. Kwang Soo has a deep cut on his fingers." Jae Suk told Suk Jin who stood behind him. Suk Jin nodded and left some space for Jae Suk to pass.

"Ji Hyo-ah...I'm tired of all these. Let me end this right away..." Kwang Soo muttered before finding himself closing his heavy eyelid, unconscious in the room.

"Kwang Soo??? YA-KWANG SOO!! Wake up!!! Oppa!!! Help please!!!

The man who Kwang Soo knew for a few moments just watched the Running Man cast who was helping one another to take Kwang Soo into the restroom. No one noticed his presence in the room. He was willing to accompany Kwang Soo at that hour. With his adorable smile in him, he spoke gently.

"You are safe, with us now. Lee Kwang Soo-ssi."
