Ansel...

Two more days left in New York. I'm at the movie theateres, waiting in line.

"Can I have three tickets please?" I ask.

I pay for the tickets and then text Shai.

Me: Papertowns @ 7pm.

Shai: Okay. Cool

Miles: Yas.

Shai and Miles haven't seen Papertowns yet. I went to the premiere with Nat and Cara last week.

Shailene...

I'm in Mile's room again. "So I think we should go to the pool. We only have two more days."

"Bring a sharpie we might have to do signings."

I laugh. "Yeah."

I look in the mirror. I have my bathing suit on. Its a two piece. I grab a sharpie and a towel then head to the pool.

Miles isn't here yet. I feel a push from behind me causing me to fall into the pool. I look up.

"Miles! A nice hello would do!"

"I would much rather push you into the pool." He says.

He jumps in "Gah!" I exclaim wiping the water from my eyes.

"Go away!" I say splashing water on him.

"No!" He says grabbing my ankle.

"Stop ruining my reputation!" I say teasingly pulling free from Miles. I bump into a girl. "Oops sorry." I say.

"Shailene!" She says.

"Hah yeah." I say.

"And Miles." Miles says emerging from underwater.

"Go back down Miles."

The girl laughs. "Miles, you look so much cuter face to face."

"Nah." He says. "You're pretty cute yourself."

It was true. The girl had silk black hair down halfway down her back and dark eyes.

"Will you sign my phone case?" She asks.

"Of course." I say. We get out of the pool and she takes her phone out of her duffel bag.

I sign my name, Shai in neat cursive and draw a smiley face beside it. Miles signs underneath my name on her pink phone case. He adds a heart next to his signature. Miles takes a picture with her.

"What's your name?" I ask.

"Sarah." She replies.

"It was nice meeting you Sarah." I say.

We leave and Sarah dives back into the pool.

"I can't believe we have so many amazing fans." Miles says.

I look at him and half smile. "Particularly beautiful fans like... Sarah..."

He laughs "Yeah. She was really cute."

"You're blushing." I laugh.

"I am?" He rolls his eyes. "No way." He says and heads back into his hotel room. I go into mine and look at myself in the mirror. I smile, thinking about Miles having maybe a slight crush on Sarah. I shower and put on a shirt and denim jeans.

We meet Ansel at the theateres at five. We say hi to any passing fans but tell them that we don't want our pictures taken. I buy caramel popcorn and salted popcorn then we go into Room 6. The theatere is dark and I watch with my hand over my mouth in awe. Quinten and Margo make me feel happy and fluffy but at the same time all ready for an adventure. I enjoy watching the epic road trip and laugh at every joke made. By the end, when Quinten makes it to prom, my heart is bursting from happiness and sadness and I laugh cry. The lights come on so we can see our way down the steps.

"I enjoyed it really much!" I say to Ansel "You were really funny in there. I wish I could've been in Papertowns, at least for a short while.

"I didn't like the ending very much." Miles says shrugging.

"Why?" I ask.

"It was just... sort of sad." His long lashes are damp and I nod.

"Yeah." I say. "But it was sort of beautiful at the same time."

"Yeah." Miles says "Like its a sad, beautiful ending."

"John Green is good with those." Ansel says. "Like in The Fault in Our Stars. The letter at the end of the book. It got me like swimming in a pool of my own tears." I laugh remembering all those times. The good TFIOS times.
