Shailene. . .

The night fell upon Wellington and I'm driving. I look at the clock. 10:30 pm. After we visited the Museum of New Zealand we had some a sandwich then went on to sight seeing, mountains reviers streams it was truly beautiful.

I turn up the music Ansel brought along.

Ooh ooh ooh oh

Don't you say goodbye

Just like the clouds will do the same

If you walk away everyday it will rain rain ra-a-ain..

"Hey." Ansel suddenly says.

"Hey."

"The night views so breathtaking."

"It is." I agree. The shops a long the fields and lighted up and we're making our way out of the countryside.

"Thanks." He says.

"For what?" I laugh slightly.

"For suggesting this. I would've missed this beauty."

"No problem."

"Look there's a cow!" He says excited.

I laugh. "Remember that night? At te restaurant, you me and Nat?"

"Yeah." He turns towards me. "The cow got its period."

"It was all pink."

"On Wednesdays we wear pink."

"I remember. We watched Mean Girls after pur Divergent wrap party."

"Yeah. That was the first time I met you, on the set of Divergent."

"We might've met on Carrie too."

"Maybe. But I didn't really get to know you, I walked pass you when you were signing the contract."

I sigh.

"Why did you drop out?" He asks.

"I figured it wasn't my type of movie ane Chloe would do much better. Also, I didn't think it would come put too sucessful."

"I guess." He sighs. "But the experience of filming it was fun even though the audience didn't enjoy the movie too much."

"Was Carrie your first movie?"

"Yeah." He says smiling. "It is."

"I've been on commercials since I was four." I say.

"You're one of those really talented actresses. You're such a good actress."

I laugh "Thanks, Ansel. You are too."

"I had to work five times a week to perfect my acting."

"At least you can dance and sing. You know how unpleasant my dancing and singing is."

"What- its perfectly fine! I can cook too and I'm a DJ and I basically paint miniatures as you know."

"Thats what I meant. You're that talented."

"Aw thanks much." I turn the volume of the music down.

We sit in somewhat a comfortable silence and look out at Wellington.

Then I get this urge to sing.

"Oh its a long and winding road.

But you don't have to walk alone,

But no matter where we are, I will keep you in my

heart.

And I will never loose my way even when the skies

are grey..."

"You sing well." Ansel says.

My cheeks reddened. "Thanks."

"I'll think of you,

When I'm down.

And when my heart is on the ground...

Oh its a long and winding road,

But you don't have to walk alone,

Cause no matter where you are,

I will keep you in my heart.

I will think of you,

Think of you,

As I go."

Everything feels so right. I wish I could camp here. I made a mental note next time if I'm looking for a camping site its gonna be here, on the plains of New Zealand.

"Ansel, do you like camping?" I ask.

He didn't respond. "Ansel?" I look toward him. He had his head pressed against the window. I smile slightly. "Oh Ansel." I pull over and got a blanket and pillow out from the boot. Then, I went back to my side and reach over to  adjusted the pillow behind his head. I gently pull the blanket up to his neck.

And just because I can't help it,  I lean over and kiss his temple.

"Goodnight." I whisper.
