It was the day of the date, Genesis was already up and ready. He woke up extra early to get everything prepared, right now he was packing a bag of food he cooked.
He made subway inspired sandwiches, He put together a few snack boards of Omari's favorite snacks. He made a sweet one and a salty one. He packed a lot of fruit since Omari likes that.
For drinks he made some mixed fruity drinks, packed some water as well. He picked out an orange blanket, Bought some new flowers. He packed uno and some other games and finally canvases and paint.
Genesis decided on this date idea because Omari once casually mentioned he wanted to do a sip and paint, but Genesis thought he would one up him and plan a full on day at a new park, so that it can be intimate and just them.
Genesis finished up in the kitchen and looked around to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything, when he saw his JBL speaker he decided to pack that.
"mmm it smells wicked good in here whatchu making?" Dream looked around for food.
"Nothing for you biggie." Genesis said.
"Awee but it looks like you got a lot there dooda." Dream started to pick at the bag.
Genesis swatted her hand away. "This not fa you it's for my date." He said mugging her.
"Oooo date i hear, awee hope you have fun." Dream said.
Genesis sighed and went to the fridge pulling out an extra sandwich and tray he made earlier, and placed it in front of Dream.
"hm have this." Genesis said.
Dream jumped up from excitement and went to tackle her brother into a big hug. She kissed all over his cheeks. Genesis laughed and steady them so they wouldn't fall.
"Go eat girl, you crazy." Genesis laughed pulling away from her softly.
"Yay thank you dooda, i was sooooo hungry." She grabbed the food thanking him once more before heading upstairs to her room.
Genesis just smiled as he watched her leave, He looked at the time noticing he was just on time.
He decided to load the car before going to put his clothes on.
He didn't put them on earlier to avoid getting them covered in food, stains or anything else.
He finished loading the car then headed back upstairs to his room, he walked into his closet and pulled the hanger with his pre picked outfit out.
He was wearing baggy blue jeans, a light green, yellow, and dark green striped long sleeve shirt, with his timbs.
He went and told Dream he was leaving then went out to his car and started the engine. He played Loose by Daniel Caesar and started his twenty minute drive to Omaris house.
He made it and Omaris was waiting outside, He was wearing acid wash baggy jeans and an orange sweater, with timbs. His locs were pulled back into a ponytail, he looked good.
Genesis got out the car and started to walk towards Omari.
"You look so good love." Genesis said, grabbing his hand.
Omari had a big smile on his face looking down at their hands. "Yuh do too pretty."
They walked hand and hand towards Genesis car, which he of course, opened the door for Omari and shut it once he was all in.
The vibe in the car was a comfortable feeling, both boys were enjoying each other presence. The song playing in the background was Blessed by Daniel caesar.
"Whea we goin'?" Omari asked looking at Genesis.
"It's a surprise." Was all Genesis said, quickly looking over before turning his attention back toward the road, seeing the light change to green.
Genesis drove until they reached their destination, he parked the car and shut the engine off.
"I'm excited, think you'll like it." Genesis said reaching in the backseat to grab the flowers he'd bought.
He presented them to Omari, Omari smiled and took them.
"Yuh bought me sum yestuh'day." Omari said looking at them.
"I know, saw them and got em fa you. they was pretty like you." Genesis said.
"Yuh too much." Omari said and laughed right after.
They both got out of the car, Omari waited while Genesis was gathering all the stuff from the backseat.
"Ight i got everything." Genesis said walking towards the spot Omari has told him was his quiet place.
"Yuh rememba ma' spot." Omari said smiling ear to ear.
"I remember everything bout you." Genesis said casually, placing the blanket down.
He quickly set up eveything he brought, the blanket, the painting stuff, the food and drinks, the games, all of it.
The two boys sat down and started to play games together. The energy that surrounded them was peaceful and full of love.
This date was going better than either of them could dream of. They laughed, talked, ate and truly enjoyed each other's presence.
It was now later in the day, the sun was beginning to set and they decided to pack everything up but the blanket. Both of them laid down close enough that their shoulders touched.
"Thank yuh, fa' the date." Omari said turning his head to look at Genesis.
"Anything for you." Genesis said smiling at him.
They continued to stare at each other like it was only them left on earth, eyes were filled to the brim with love and care.
Omari leaned in first, his lips softly embraced Genesis. The kiss was soft and filled with love it felt genuine. It wasn't a competition for who could dominate who, just love.
They pulled away and rested their foreheads together, just looking at each other.
They boys cuddled, stole kisses, and held hands under the stars. They didn't rush anything or anywhere, just pure love.
