One peaceful afternoon, two Golden Retrievers were riding in the back of a red truck. Their owners, Bailey and Emily, sat in the front seats, chatting about current events and problems.
The first golden dog, Cooper, faced towards the wind, blowing his floppy ears back, and causing drool to fly from his mouth and get onto the second dog, April, who was standing in the splash zone.
"Could you not drool on me, Cooper!", April barked, blinking away the spit in her eyes. Cooper turned to her, panting.
"Oh, sorry!", he said slurping the strings of spit that hung from his jaws. April cringed as the clear liquid was sucked into her friends mouth. Quickly looking away from Cooper, April noticed something.
"Cooper, look!", April said motioning to a bridge with a large bump in the middle.
"If we don't warn them, someone could get hurt!", Cooper exclaimed.
"Let's try to warn them!", April said starting to bark loudly, Cooper following her lead.
Alas, the barking ceased with a loud 'shut up' from an open window. The dogs tried to bark again, but it was too late as the truck hit the bump, and the two dogs flew from the back of the truck and into the river. The last thing the dogs saw was the red truck skid to a halt before it all went black.
Cooper woke up with a start. He got up on all fours and started coughing up water. He looked around frantically for his friend, April.
"April! April where are you?", he called into the foggy morning.
"I'm here Cooper, and I found berries!", April said, calling him over to here.
"Great i'm starving!", Cooper said hungrily, "And after we eat lets get some help!".
