Liam felt the weight of her lips against his, soft but firm. He missed them but didn’t know it til right now. He smiled as she readjusted moving her bottom lip between his, she smelled of lavender and vanilla, he had forgotten how nice it was to breathe her in.

The kiss was quick and gentle, almost as if it was a memory, Liam couldn’t tell if he’d imagined it or not. He pulled his eyes open focusing on Danielle’s pretty face, she had tear tracks down her cheeks but a smile on her lips.

“Liam. I’m sorry for everything. Honestly hurting you was the worst thing I have ever done. I-I still love you, I will always be in love with you.” She moved towards him leaning in for a second kiss.

Suddenly Liam stopped her holding her out of reach.

“I-I used to love you, and in some way I probably still do. But my heart belongs to someone else. I love them. I’m sorry Danielle but I can’t be with you anymore. I’m in love with Niall.”

Liam grinned like a little kid only just realizing what his true feeling for Niall were. He felt the blood rush to his cheeks as he laughed quietly to himself. How could it have taken his mind this long to catch up to where his heart was at? He pressed his hand up to his chest as his heartbeat raced, pounding against his skin.

Danielle just stared at him shock on her face. He smiled pulling her in for a hug, as he whispered to her.

“Danielle I forgive you for cheating on me, I would never have leaned on Niall as much as I did if you hadn’t done that. So in a way you brought us closer together in so many ways. I can’t thank you enough for that. Please try and keep this quiet, I don’t want the press to get wind of this just yet. Thank you beautiful, I hope you will remember that I will always be a friend to you if you want me still.”

Danielle buried her face in his chest as she wept knowing that hers and Liam’s relationship was finally over.

Louis and Harry walked back to the table after a few songs, the club was warm and they both agreed to a rest and some rehydration before going back out on the dance floor.

They walked over to a lonely looking Zayn at the empty table. He looked slightly worried as he held his phone in his hand.

“Alright mate?”

“Erm, no. not really. Something weird happened.” Zayn confessed vaguely.

“What might that be?” Louis asked his eyebrows raised in anxious worry.

“Danielle showed up...”

Harry groaned knowing the problems that created last time. Louis still looked confused.

“Right, so Liam went over to talk to her and erm, they kissed…”

“WHAT!!” Harry and Louis chorused together looking back and forth from Zayn to each other.

“Yea, but the weird part is when they kissed Niall ran out of the room.”

Louis smirked at Harry who looked just as confused as Zayn, he felt bad for Niall but he knew something like this was bound to happen.

“Well that’s not really surprising is it?” Louis said offhandedly causing Zayn and Harry to look at him even more confused.

“How’s that?” Harry asked Zayn nodding along with him.

“You two don’t see it?”

“What are we looking for mate?” Zayn asked, his question dripping in sarcasm.
