Paris. A city of romance that was famously known as a place that couples visit.
I would have never understood why until my own little story was created there.
Draco and I did all sorts. We travelled all the way up the Eiffel Tower, giggled about our new tattoos in our hotel and danced across our bathroom floor as the moonlight hit the glass of the shower door and posh marble flooring.
It was our final day, and Draco and I decided to go all around travelling. We bought an all-day train ticket. We walked around markets and went to the Louvre, the museum which held Mona Lisa, the famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci.
It was packed, but Draco and I's hands stayed linked together the whole time. We saw several other famous paintings before deciding to leave.
"This is amazing, Draco," we said as we took a boat down the river.
"You have your mother to thank," he smiled, holding me close as I shivered with the wind.
"I know," I whispered, "And you. You've changed my life for the better, you know that?"
"And you have changed mine for the best," he replied with his signature smirk.
"I should hope so too," I mumbled into his ear, "I've been through hell for you."
We spoke at the same time, "But I'd do it all over again."
We were the only ones at the top of the boat, so we shared a sweet, loving kiss as we went under the well-known lock bridge, where people believed that they could connect themselves to one another forever.
We laughed together as we stepped off because Draco almost slid off the side, about to drag me with him when the man who let us off grabbed him by the waist.
"I think I've been molested," he said, traumatised.
"He saved your life," I commented back, giggling at his horrified face.
"But, Eve... The only one I want to touch me is you."
I burst out laughing and soon Draco's familiar chuckle followed.
"I'm serious, though," he murmured, his breath hot against my ear as we leaked over one of the bridges.
"I know, and the same goes for you," I replied.
Draco smirked as he pointed out the Eiffel Tower. It was at the very end of our sight, covered slightly by a cloud. It twinkled in the moonlight.
It was the most stunning sight I'd ever seen. A lot of people thought Paris overrated, but that was exactly what it wasn't.
"Evelyn."
When I turned around, I didn't see Draco straight away. I didn't see his chest and shoulders like I normally did due to our height difference.
I saw Draco down on one knee, a simple, one-diamond engagement ring in his hands.
Exactly how I'd jokingly (but I'd meant it at the same time) told him I'd want my engagement ring to be last year.
"Evelyn Abney," he announced, "You've been here for me no matter what I've done to hurt you. I've messed up a couple times, and I've let you down one time too many. I've dragged you into a lot of problems with me and along the journey I fell for you. I didn't deserve any of the chances you gave me, but I know that you deserve someone who loves you as much as I do. I'm in love with you, Evelyn. I know I can't live without you."
He smiled, the most real one he'd ever broke out into, "Will you do me the honour of being my wife?"
A/N: Alright! I'm sorry to say it, but that's the end of Malicious!
Do not fear! There is a SEQUEL! I've made this into a trilogy, and knowing me, the sequel will be up later tonight or tomorrow at latest. I will update another chapter on here when it's posted so that you can add it to your libraries. Look out for it, it will be called 'Magnanimous'! Along with that update will be a picture of the ring! I didn't put it on this one to avoid spoiling the chapter for any readers!
