Evelyn stared at me in shock, but her lips began to move and soon enough she said, "I love you too."

I moved closer to her again, and first placed my lips on her forehead. As I went to kiss her cheek, she turned her head abruptly and met my lips with her own.

Our kiss was short-lived as the cabinet began to shake. I opened the door with caution and a note came floating from the middle of the Vanishing Cabinet, as if someone had just dropped it.

"No distractions," it said.

Who wrote it, I never found out. I just knew that someone was aware of my relationship with Evelyn.

I showed it to her before ripping it up.

"Someone knows!" I growled, "Did you tell anyone?"

"No!" Evelyn defended herself.

I looked at the floor and spoke softly, "Of course you wouldn't. I'm sorry."

"It's okay," Evelyn whispered back.

"It's got to be a Death Eater," Draco mumbled, "No one else has access to the other side."

"At least the cabinet works."

I nodded slowly, "At least the cabinet works, but we're in danger. The Dark Lord will certainly try to pry us apart."

"No distractions," she repeated.

"Yeah..." I said, my words trailing away like my hope was beginning to.

I knew what the cabinet being fixed meant. Evelyn didn't.

It meant that soon enough, another note would arrive giving me the heads up to get Dumbledore, and furthermore kill him. Was I prepared to do that?
