Guys guys guys guys guys guys guys... I'm so excited for this one shot asdfghjjkl

Okay so first, what you must know is that THIS IS THE SEQUEL TO THE FIRST ALEXIS SANCHEZ ONE SHOT I WROTE (which is called "Here is my secret" and is the 7th one shot published in this very book).

You guys seemed to really like the first part and since the story is very dear to my heart, I've planned on writing a second part for a looooong time (even though the first part was published almost a year ago lol).

Before reading this one shot YOU MUST HAVE READ "HERE IS MY SECRET" FIRST!!! The plot follows directly the first part and it's really important that you remember what happened.

Hope you like it! xx

Alexis's foot tapped nervously on the pristine floor of the hospital as he gazed at his watch for the countless time. He glanced toward his best friend, Marcos, who was biting his nails next to him, looking just as nervous as he was.

After what seemed like an eternity waiting in that hospital hallway, they finally saw Dr. Atkin walking their way. They jumped off of their seats like two springs to meet the doctor who, judging by the blue scrub he was wearing, had just come out of the surgery room.

"Doctor" Marcos began panting in worry "How did it go?"

"It's too early to tell but I believe the surgery was successful" the doctor said in a soothing tone.

It was like a huge weight had been lifted off of the two men's shoulders as they sigh in relief.

"And where is she now?" Alexis asked.

"Miss Cordobello has been transported into the recovery room" the doctor answered "But she's still under heavy medication at the moment."

"And will she be able to..." Marcos trailed off, asking the question that was on both his and Alexis's minds.

"To see?" The doctor finished and both men nodded "Well not until a few months that's for sure. Miss Cordobello still has a lot of treatment to go through before she can start gaining her sight back. She's going to have to go to therapy practically every day."

"And when can we see her?" Alexis asked.

"I believe she'll be awake in a few hours though you won't be able to see her until tomorrow..." Dr. Atkin trailed off before scrutinizing the two men standing in front of him "But it's family only, for now."

Alexis felt a rush of disappointment and frustration as he recalled the promise he had made to Marilena, promise that he would be there at her side after her surgery.

"Which one of you is the patient's brother?" the doctor asked.

"That would be me" Marcos said, sending an apologetic look toward Alexis. He knew his best friend well enough to figure how disappointed he must've been feeling.

"There are some matters that need to be discussed regarding your sister's recovery process. If you could go to the third floor, Dr. Turner will walk you through them."

"Yes, yes of course" Marcos quickly nodded.

When the doctor had disappeared, Marcos turned to look at Alexis. The two men hugged, expressing their happiness and relief at the wonderful news that had been delivered to them.

The surgery was successful.

Marilena was okay.

Marilena would see again.
