Lexi POV

I walked out of my office because it was just to much commotion coming from the front that didn't need to be made. I stepped onto the tile floor and walked over to the front desk where I saw Alex and my appointment maker Adrian fussing. I sighed😑and grabbed Alex's hand and dragged her into my office closing my door behind me. I stood in front of my door with my arms folded looking directly at her. I had no idea why she was here but I was going to listen to what she had to say.

"What are you doing here ?" I asked

"I came to talk to you." she stated sitting in my love seat

"Baby , you disappear off the face of the earth for 2 damn years , and you come back to talk to me ? Ion understand what we could possibly have to talk about after 2 damn years. Your a piece of shit Alex and I'm sorry to say that. How the hell can you leave Landon and Aleah ? Yeah , Nick told me how he's raising Aleah with the help of his wife Ciara. You are not a mother and nobody should ever call you one because you don't deserve to be called one. You were my best friend since college and I thought I could trust you , but you turned out to be just like everyone else. What the hell has gotten into you ? "

"Lexi , I know I messed up and I'm sorry. It eats me up everyday for everything I did , but I'm sorry okay. I just came to apologize once more because I don't feel like I've apologized enough. I'm surprised you haven't beat my ass again and I'm thankful that you haven't. Thanks for being the friend that I needed and I am so truly sorry that I couldn't be the friend that you needed in return." she said before standing up. "Tell Landon that I love him when you see him for me please." she finished off before walking out my office. I shook my head and walked out to the front to see her walking out the door and walking towards her car. I walked over to Adrian since Amanda was in her office busy with someone.

"Hey hun." I said with a small smile

"Hey girl." she replied back. I smiled before walking back into my office and doing some work so this day could go by fast.

After working until 2:00 , I pulled into the middle school car riders line so I could pick Karmelo up from school. I sat in line for about 3 minutes before I saw him walking towards the truck. He climbed into the passenger seat and shut the door behind him before I pulled off on the way to the elementary school. He buckled up before sitting his book bag down beside him.

"How was school son ?" I asked glancing over at him

"It was good. You got a lot of papers to sign." He stated

"I figured I would. It's the third day of school so I expected it. What did y'all have for lunch today ?" I asked

"Philly cheesteak sandwiches which was nasty."

I chuckled "You don't wanna start taking your lunch ?"

"I could because ion wanna come home hungry everyday."

"Well , once we pick up your sister and brother , then we'll make a trip to the grocery store." I stated

"We still got to get my socks mama."

"For what ?"

"Warrior Night is tomorrow , remember ?"

"Oh crap , I totatlly forgot about that Melo. We can go to Hibbet's after we leave the store then." I stated. He grabbed his blue iPhone 5c out of his pockets and plugged it up to the AUX chord. I shook my head as I stopped the truck and waited in line on Milan. After a couple minutes , I spotted her walking towards the truck. I smiled as she entered the truck and shut the door behind her. Once she buckled up , I pulled off and headed to the daycare center to pick up Carter. My song came on which was Young Thug ft. Yak Gotti x Dream. I turned the radio up to the max and Melo shook his head. I laughed and danced in my seat as I drove. After about 10 minutes , I reached the daycare center and I pulled up in front of the door. I slid out of the truck and closed the door behind me. I walked over to the door and put in the pass code which was 0507* before pulling open the door and walking inside. I looked at all the little kids before turning right and walking down the hall until I reached the 2-3 year old classroom. I pushed open the door and smiled as Carter started running towards me. I picked him up after I signed his name out. He said bye to his teacher before we walked out shutting the door behind us. I walked to the door and pressed the green exit button before pushing the door open again. As I was walking out , I saw Alex walking out the other door holding a baby that looked to be about 2 months. I looked over at her only for her to speed walk to her car. I put Carter in his seat before closing the door behind me. I walked over to Alex's car and stood in front of her door so she couldn't get in.
