The tears come out faster than I ever thought they would. He just left.. he didn't fight for us. He didn't say he would be better if I gave him a chance. Nothing.

I think what hurts the most is caring so much for someone when they don't care for you. It hurts so much. My heart aches as I lean my head against the door.

I stay crying on the floor. My legs are clenched to my chest by my arms. My head is down, resting on my arms. I hear my bedroom door open slowly followed by footsteps.

"Oh man." I hear Nathaniel says under his tongue. "Catherine, what happened? What did he do?"

He leans down and lifts my chin to look at him. My vision is blurry. All I see is a blurry Nathaniel with a concerned expression. I sniffle.

"We broke up." I try to say but I'm hiccuping to much. I cover my face with my two hands, trying to calm down. I hear Nathaniel curse silently.

"Come on, get up Catherine." He puts out his hands for me to get but I don't take. I just want to stay on the floor alone. I realise that I'm probably being dramatic but it just hurts to see him leave like that. He didn't fight for us. It shows how much I mean to him.

"Cat, please." Nathaniel leans down to my level. I look at him, gently shaking my head no. He bows his head down then gets up and walks away into my room. I hear shuffling before he comes back. He places his right arm on my back with his left arm underneath my knees. He carries me off. I'm surprised at how strong he is. He takes me inside my bedroom and places me on my bed. I remain seated in criss cross position.
When I look up at him, he smiles a bit. I tilt my head wondering what he's smiling at. At this point I had stopped crying, only sniffling.
"You uh.. look like a raccoon." He crosses his arms but covers his mouth with one hand to stop his giggle. I turn to mirror I had on my dresser and see that he's telling the truth. My makeup is all smeared along with my bloodshot eyes. I look back at him.

"I do look like a racoon." I say silently. Nathaniel looks at me and smiles more. I look at my hands that are sitting on my lap. "I'm sorry you have to see me like this."

Nathaniel huffs and tells me to lay down to sleep.
"Do you want me to leave you alone?" He asks. As much as I don't want Nathaniel to see me cry, I don't want to be alone. I shake my head no as I lay down covering myself with my purple blanket.

"Wanna talk about it?" He sits on my bed. I stay silent. "Lets talk about it." He lays down next to me in the blanket.

"I feel stupid for crying." I start.
"Don't you say that. You're not stupid." Nathaniel frowns.

"Let me vent!" I complain.

"Okay, okay. Anything for you princess." He jokes but it still makes me crack a smile. I lay on my left side looking at him. He does the same but instead he lays on his elbow looking at me.

"I.. I didn't think we would end so soon. I don't think you understand how much I liked him. I looked at him and thought I was lucky to have him. He was so nice and lovable before we started dating. He told me how he missed seeing me and I fell for it." I lay on my back and rub my eyes. "Damn, I feel so stupid for letting this happen. It makes me wonder if he actually did like me or he was just using me."

"Why would he use you?" Nathaniel asks.

"Entertainment, I guess." I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know. This is all confused." I breathe out. My hands are still covering my eyes as I lay on my back.

"Come here, Catherine." Nathaniel opens his arms for me. I remove the space between us and go into his arms. His arms are around my neck and my left arm is on his waist, my right arm is tucked underneath me. He pats my head and tells me everything will be okay. He smells so good and I feel so safe in his arms. I feel my eyes getting heavy and feel my body begin to relax.

"You deserve the world, Catherine. I hope you understand this. I'm so happy you ended something you thought wasn't going to go anywhere. You're a smart young lady with a bright future that I wish to be apart in. I hope your heart heals fast because seeing you like this, hurts me." He says in a low whisper, loud enough for me to barely hear. I find myself going into a deep sleep.

***
I look up to the beautiful man standing next to me. His eyes meet mine, his smile is so perfect it makes me melt. He touches my cheek with such care. His skin is gentle with every touch.
"You're so beautiful" The man tell me as he lays a kiss on my lips. His full pink lips set neatly on mine. I feel myself smiling through the kiss. I put my hand on his cheek, slowly pulling away. I take a second look at the man kissing me. He has pitch black hair with beautiful hazel eyes. He smiles at me which makes me smile in return.

I'm taken out of my lovely dream looking around the empty room in front of me. I go onto my elbows looking around my room. The sun is shining through the white shutters. I go down onto my back with my wrist resting on my forehead. Clips from yesterday replay in my head. The tears and the leaving. I reach for my phone on my night stand and check the time. Its ten sixteen. I want to stay in bed forever but I know that's not going to happen. I roll out of bed looking at the mirror on my dresser. My makeup is still smeared, eyes are puffy and my hair looks like a nest for rats. I take out my pony tail ruffing up my hair a bit. At least my hair looks decent.

I walk out of my room into the living room and see Nathaniel in the kitchen putting jelly on toast. He looks at me and gives me a small smile.

"Good morning." He chuckles a bit. I sit down on the countertop with my legs crossed.

I whisper a good morning to him then look at what he has made. Toast and eggs. Scrambled, just how I like. With orange juice on the side.

"You look like a panda now." Nathaniel smirks. I don't laugh or smile. He notices then coughs to change the subject.

"I made you eggs, toast and orange juice." He shows me a plate full of these foods. "Just how you like." He hands me the plate. I thank him for the meal.

"Any plans for today?" He asks while sitting on the other side of the kitchen counter chewing on toast. I shrug my shoulders.

"Not really." I say low. I don't even feel like eating.

"Don't be upset dude. He's not worth it." Nathaniel says. I put down my plate and pull my legs to my chest. "I mean - come on. The loser didn't even fight for you."

I look up to him. He's making himself another toast. I know he's right.

"You're right." I sigh then get off the counter. "I'm done with this!" I force a smile. "He doesn't deserve my tears."

"No he doesn't! You're a princess and shouldn't be crying." Nathaniel gets up from the counter with me and puts up both of this hands up for me to high five.

"I'm a queen, baby!" I high five him.

"Damn right!" He picks me up and spins me around. We laugh and smile together. He then puts me down and puts his arms around my neck, pulling me into a hug. He's taller than me so this way is more comfortable to him. I wrap my arms around his waist. He lets go of me slowly and smiles.

"Thanks stud." I playfully punch his arm. He smiles at me then walks back to the counter and he continues to eat his toast. I smile at him without him looking at me. I walk away to the restroom to clean myself up. I come out five minutes later and see Nathaniel sitting on the couch on his phone.

"I see you're still in your pjs." I stand beside him. He looks at me through his phone and smirks.

"I see your booty is still out." I immediately sit down when he says that. He starts to laugh and puts his phone down. "Wanna do anything fun today?"

I shake my head no. "I could go for some frozen yogurt though." I smile. He continues to look at me.

"Lets go get Queen Catherine some frozen yogurt." He gets up from the couch, shoving his phone in his pocket. I smile and get up as well.

"Could I go out like this?" I look down at my outfit. I'm wearing what I wore last night. I however, did my make up. Just mascara and eyeliner. Nathaniel's eyes rake my body and hums.

"I don't want people looking at you bad though." He gets his keys from the kitchen counter and comes back to look at me. I laugh at him then say that I'm going to just go as is. I put on my grey converse and put up my hair into a ponytail. Nathaniel is dressed in sweats and tank top. We look so lazy but it's fine. I grab my keys, phone and wallet then exit the door. Nathaniel is already in the hallway waiting for me to lock up. As I do, I walk down stairs first with Nathaniel following behind. He opens the door for me to get in. Once I get in I plug in my phone before he could complain about me having the aux cord.
