Chapter 28

Jonathan’s POV

Today’s my day. Ano kayang reaksyon ng students ng academy na ako ang Kiyoshi na gustong gusto nilang makilala. Mamaya papasukin ko na ang mundo nila Mama isang magulong mundo.

“Jonathan! I missed you so much!” andito na nga pala si Mio. Bakit parang di ata kami nagkatampuhan nito dati?

“Hey? Nathan, didn’t you miss me?” nakapout pa siya.

“Ah Are we okay?” tanong ko.

“Of course we are, silly. Haha so where’s your muse?”

“She’ll be arriving later”

“Ok, I can’t wait to see her they say she looks like me” sabi nya habang naglilibot sa kwarto ko.

“Yeah, a bit but she’s much prettier”

“Really? Well I’m pretty in my own way” binelatan pa ako pssh.

“Nathan, are you courting her already?” she asked me seriously.

“Not yet”

“Ok” biglang may kumatok sa pinto.

“Nathan! Andito na ako” speaking of the angel! Bago ko pa nabuksan yung pinto ay naunahan na ako ni Mio.

“Hi” bati niya kay Alice at halata naman kay Alice na gulat sya.

“He-Hello” ngumiti naman si Alice.

“They’re right, you really look like me. Haha I’m Mio Akiyama”

“Alice Jane Mercado” they shook hands. Tapos bigla na lang hinila ni Mio si Alice, aish! Edi sila ang magbonding. Iwan daw ba ako? -.-

Malapit ng mag 7 pm, nakaayos na ako. Actually masquerade ang theme and ang dapat kong maskara ay yung ginamit ko nung JS prom namin kaso na kay Alice remember?

“It’s time to reveal the prince’s identity, he’s been mysterious to us for years, The unico hijo of the Higurashi family. . . . . ” intro ng emcee’s kaya sinuot ko na ang mask ko hmm? Nasan naba si Alice dapat kasama ko siya sa kwartong to para sabay kaming lalabas hmm.

Biglang bumukas yung pinto.

“Nat- - ” hinila ko na lang sya. Late na eh.

Alice’s POV

Grabe! Dito pa ako inabot ng call of nature, nag-ayos na ako tapos nagpabango, syempre. I wore a mask. Pero paglabas ko.

“Mr. Jonathan Higurashi or Jonathan Bustamante our birthday celebrant with his muse Ms. Alice Jane Mercado” what?! Paano ako napapunta dun?! Aish pagdating ko dun puro *Di nga?* at *Talaga? Si Jonathan yun?* puro gulat ang reaction ang nalabas sa bibig ng mga guests. Mas lalo naman ako! Si Mio kaya yung nasa stage at di ako, parehas kasi kaming naka-crème dress amp! Dumiretso na lang ako sa table nila Mama at nakiupo dun.

“Alice?” tanong ni Megan.

“OO, ako nga, galling diba asa stage daw ako? Haha, funny, Mio is like my twin sister” note the sarcasm.

“Kaw kasi, saan kaba nanggaling?” tanong ni Mama.

“CR”

“Bakit antagal mo dun?”

“Call of nature”

“Aish dayo pa eh” sabi ni Megan.

Matapos magintroduce ni Jonathan bumaba na sila ni ako DAW!! Sa stage. Masalubong nga.

“Happy Birthday Jonathan” bati ko at halata namang gulat sya.

“Alice?” tapos napatingin sya kay Mio.

“Sorry Nathan, I was supposed to tell you I’m not Alice but I don’t want to ruin the emcee’s enthusiasm Sorry” Sus if I know gusto nya din yun. “Ok lang” tapos tumalikod na ko at umalis. Ang labo ko!

Nagdiretso agad ako dun sa mga pagkain. Sige kain lang Alice pangpaalis inis. Punong puno ang plato ko.

“You’re not that hungry are you?”

“I’m just relaxing myself”  sagot ko.

“Haha, you’re really funny Alice haha.” Sabi nya. Ano namang nakakatawa dun?

“Tss, kumain kana nga lang din”

“Alam mo bang gulat lahat ng students ng Hudson dahil kay Jonathan”

“Oo nga eh, hindi siguro sila makapaniwala na ang tatahitahimik na si Nathan ay ang unico hijo nila Tita Eri”

“Oo nga , oh bakit parang nalungkot ka?”

“Ha? Hindi, sige may pupuntahan lang ako” tumayo na ko at umalis . Si Kiyoshi kasi topic dun eh ayoko, gusto ko mapag-isa.

Mio’s POV

This is his day, but I think I ruined it, but he keeps on insisting that I didn’t ruin it.

Honestly I like what happened lately that I was the one who was with him in stage for his introduction, but I felt guilt. Aish! I should do it now. I’m his bestfriend right? So I should help. I looked at him approaching every guests, smiling at them but I know he’s looking for her.

“Let’s start the dance” the emcee’s announced. Good the girls find their partners for the dance. I grabbed the chance to approach him.

“Kiyoshi” he looked at me.

“Alice?”

“Ah no, it’s me Mio”

“Oh” I felt that he said that with disappointment , even though he wears a mask and I can’t see his face I know he is disappointed.

“Do you wanna dance?” he asked. Even though I want to but I have a mission. This is planned by her loving twin sisters.

“No, actually you need to find her”

“Who?” -.-

“Who else? Alice! Freak! Go find her, she’s the one you want to be with this whole night right?”

“Ye-yes” ouch.

“So go! This is the time Jonathan, don’t let this pass away, confess to her” even though it hurts.

“What if- - ”  I cut his statement.  Then hugged him.

“No do it now, don’t be like me always waiting in the wings” I showed him the mask.

“Where did you get that?” he asked confused.

“This is all planned just do it, confess before it’s too late” I smiled at him then walked away. Good thing my tears didn’t betray me.

“Arigato Mio, I’ll do it ” then one tear fell from my eye.

“You’re welcome” that’s all then I ran away. Aish!

Alice’s POV

Katatapos ko lang makipagsayaw kay Dylan yung kaklase ni Nathan, inaya nya kasi ako, hmm si Jonathan kaya? Aish teka tampo nga pala ako sa kanya. Makakain na nga lang ulit. Nakita ko yung macaroons sa table kukuha na sana ako ng biglang may humila sakin. Ang bilis tumakbo.

“Hey! Sino kaba?” pero NR sya. Madami na kaming nakabangga, and hello? Ang sakit kaya sa paa nakaheels pa man din ako. Grabe to. Tapos namalayan ko na lang nandito kami sa tapat ng fountain. Tumigil na din kami. I grabbed the chance to spank him.

“Hoy! Sino kaba ha?! Anong kailangan mo?!” todo sigaw ako. Bigla syang humarap sakin and. . . . . .
