“Buenas noches,” Camila said as she hugged Lauren from behind.

“Goodnight baby, te quiero,” Lauren smiled, intertwining her fingers with Camila’s.

“It’s been a long time since we speak Spanish to each other, I mean we speak it to our parents every day but not to each other.”

“Yeah, maybe we should start, and I definitely want our baby to know Spanish.”

“De todas maneras amor.” And with that, they both drifted to a deep sleep.

It was 3 am when Lauren started feeling uncomfortable around her stomach, she tried turning the other way but the pain wouldn’t go away. She decided to stand up, and as she did, she noticed a spot of blood on the bed sheets.

“Holy sh- Oh my god, Camz wake up!” She shook Camila.

“What is it?” Camila responded sleepily.

“I’m bleeding,” Lauren whispered.

“You’re what!” Camila was awaken in a second. “Let’s get you to the hospital!”

Camila ran out of the house in pajamas with Lauren following behind.

In the car, Camila was freaking out and trying to drive at the same time.

“Do you feel any pain or anything?”

“I just feel uncomfortable and shots of pain every now and then, but babe calm down cause it would be amazing if we make it to the hospital alive.”

“How do you expect me to calm down, Lauren! This is our baby girl and you!”

Lauren grabbed Camila’s hand and squeezed it.

“We’ll be fine baby, I prom- ah! No, just kidding, hurry up!””

Camila ran into the hospital, “Please someone, my wife and the baby and blood, baby!”

“Excuse me, what was that?” A nurse asked, approaching that.

“My wife is pregnant and she’s bleeding, please do something!”

“I’ll take care of it,” she looked at Lauren who was taking deep breaths, “Please, come with me.”

Camila followed but was stopped, “I’m sorry but only the patient can enter the room, we’ll keep you posted.”

“Wha- Are you kidding me?!”

“Baby, calm down, just wait ok I promise everything will be fine.”

“Ugh, fine, but hurry up!” She yelled to the nurse, who rolled her eyes and shut the door.

Camila waited for a couple hours in the waiting room, as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. ‘What if the baby doesn’t make it?’ she thought ‘Or what will happen to Laur, oh my god I’m dying.’ A nurse finally came to notify her that Lauren was fine and that she could come visit if she’d like.

“Hey, how are you?”

“I’m fine, just a bit tired. The doctor said everything was fine, the bleeding was caused by stress, and apparently it’s normal in some cases.”

“A lot of stress?”

“Yeah, I guess, I mean we have been working on that album a lot and-“
