The scraps of delicate lace and seductive nightgowns had definitely not been in Darcy's suitcase when she packed it.

She held the nightgowns and noticed a note: "For your whirlwind nights as a happy married couple. –Margaux."

Darcy let out a sighed, as if she would have a chance to wear for him, he doesn't even want her to be in his room. Black lace cups overlaid with cream silk camisole dress. This nightgown was definitely the ticket to a whirlwind wedding night tonight—for some newlywed happy bride, not Darcy Rossini. She married a man who only fantasizes more with his job instead of his wife with her eyes wide-open.

She threw the nightgown into the very end of her closet and continued on her unpacking. She still couldn't believe why she brought herself into this loveless marriage. She could've just thrown that invitation into the trash. And what exactly had she expected? That Val would take one glance at his wife and instantly fall madly in love? That would be absurd! Bloody, bloody absurd! She needed to get over about all this wishful thinking and stop acting as if anything between them will eventually change.

With every enthusiastic vibe Margaux, had been very optimistic about marriage despite being perfectly aware that Val and Darcy's vows where just plain business. Darcy could still feel a little upset after being soundly rejected. How would there be a family if they didn't share a bedroom?

Darcy slammed the closet a little harder and louder. If she was going to be alone, this was certainly the best place where no one would hear a lonely girl's sad and depressed musings. She stepped back from her closet and examined her surroundings. Her bedroom could equal a finest luxurious hotel suite in the city. She may have live here and never ever step outside of that selfish kind of life. Ever. There was a minibar with a small fridge, fully stocked with snacks and frozen meals and atop of the fridge is a modern style mini microwave oven. A gigantic flat screen plasma TV hang on her crème colored wall. An apple iPad lay on the bedside table and suspected that Val had already downloaded hundreds of ebooks since she had revealed in her profile about her love for books. She was even amazed to find a universal touch-screen remote by the door, that in just one click she can have access to any sort of technology in this room.

She wondered if her new robotic husband had his own universal remote, which could be a great help for this insane relationship to work. She remembered how mysterious with only twenty points on his profile could sum up all that has to be understood about Val Rossini.

There had to be something more about her mysterious husband, because no one willingly cuts themselves off from people with no reason.

After trying every buttons on the universal remote of her room, and spend most of the time checking out her new downloaded ebooks, the hour had grown late. Her in-laws will be home soon. She called her sister to see how she was doing with their Aunt Amelia, their mother's unwed sister and was very happy to know that everything was doing fine. She was very pleased to know that Cindy went to her Cardiologist for a checkup and they discussed about the updates for her heart surgery. Aunt Amelia sounded very happy as they chat about the happenings back in England, Oh how I miss our little cottage.

Relieved, Darcy went into the bathroom where she bathe and get ready for tonight's meet the in-laws dinner. She took her first dip into her bath claw-foot tub, and soon realized how her bathroom alone was almost as big as their cottage back home.

She took the time searching for the perfect dress to wear and settled with a simple square-neck three-fourth sleeves maroon wrap dress. She did a mental thanks to Margaux for the additional wardrobe she had provided her as a gift. She stepped into a pair of gray peep-toe patent pumps that fit as if they'd been customized just for her, and then redid her chignon and retouched her light makeup.
