The alarm from her smart phone surprised her while she was focusing on her new hobby, pottery. With a heavy mood, she washed her hands and she grasped for her purse and took her pill container as she went inside the kitchen. The pill was so tiny, she took a moment to stare at it.

How such small things prevent such a huge thing like pregnancy? She thought.

Darcy took the pill into her mouth and swallowed, as the same time as keeping those tears at bay. The pill had been symbolic for her marriage with Val. Not only was she preventing life, but also she was giving away her dream of having her own family too soon.

But how soon? She had been ready to have a family of her own since she knew about her parents' divorce.

Her heart was aching to imagine having a baby with Val. No child deserves to have a father who refused to participate in his/her own life.

Scratch the happy family off her list, thinking about another sacrifice she had to endure for this marriage to work. She had clearly understood people didn't always get what they wanted.

Those words that Val had said still haunts her, it's been a week since their so called honeymoon, and still she failed to show him how capable he was to be in love. But she was simply a convenience. Exactly as he said.

"Screw this convenience!" she shouted, trying to channel every ounce of heartache she has inside her.

Life goes on between them, Val went back to his real wife—his company—twenty four seven, as expected while Darcy had to make doctor's appointments regularly as instructed.

The upbeat music of her stupid phone ringtone cut the silence in the kitchen. She took a glance on it and saw the E-Marriage Inc. logo flashing from the screen. Surprised, she hurriedly picked up the call.

"Hello?"

"Hi Darcy, it's me, Margaux. I'm sorry to bother you, but I really need your help."

"Sure, what is it?"

Everything she would do for the woman who changed her life, forever, even though it wasn't the life Darcy had dreamt about. Margaux had helped her find a secure marriage. The part where "for better or for worse" had been greatly predicted, where everything was highly provided, all but love.

Darcy didn't expect to be back to the place where it all started. Margaux's office in notting hill Lancaster in London, brings back bittersweet memories. Margaux had asked her to help her deal with new clients. Being Margaux's outstanding candidate, she wanted Darcy to help teach someone for her preliminary stages.

"You want me to teach her how to do her hair and makeup?" Darcy was surprised, while having tea with margaux inside her office.

Margaux chuckled, "Don't sound so surprised. You're highly qualified. I just didn't expect myself to be fully booked this month. You are the only one who can do great like I did."

That was because her fairy godmother had no idea how much tragic she had been put up into. "I can do that, but as long as it's just preliminaries. I don't think I can do any of the rest."

"Oh dear, don't worry, I'll pay you."

"I wasn't aiming for that." Though she was thinking about the perfect idea that might get her mind off the unfortunate marriage. "I'd do it for free."
