Sarthuus Mor'vane was once a humble geomancer and hermit-scholar researching the desolate Wyrmsand Wastes — a desert riddled with legends of colossal sandworms said to devour whole cities. Obsessed with understanding the life beneath the dunes, he sought communion with the ancient entities that ruled the desert's depths — the Shai'korr, primordial worm gods that fed on the essence of the world.
In his pursuit, Sarthuus performed a forbidden rite to "hear the heart of the earth." But the ritual went horribly wrong — the Shai'korr did not speak in words but in hunger. They devoured his mortal form and remade him as their prophet: a half-man, half-parasitic conduit between surface and abyss. Now his veins run with burrower ichor, and his limbs twist like living tendrils.
He wanders the wastelands, summoning monstrous worms to engulf towns and armies, feeding his ever-growing connection to the Shai'korr. He believes that by feeding the world to the worms, he can "birth the next desert" — a planet swallowed and reborn in the Shai'korr's image.
Powers and Abilities: -Worm Dominion: Controls and communicates telepathically with all worm-like or burrowing creatures, from tiny sand leeches to massive dune worms the size of fortresses. -Burrow Gate: Can open enormous sinkholes in the ground to transport himself or summon creatures from beneath. -Flesh of the Burrow: His body can transform parts of itself into worm-like appendages — tendrils, mandibles, or acidic maws — making him formidable in close combat. -Earthsense: Feels vibrations through sand and stone, allowing him to detect movement miles away underground or on the surface. -Desert Resurrection: If killed, his essence seeps into the sands and reforms after a time, provided a worm consumes part of his remains. -Geophage Magic: Feeds on minerals and life essence through the earth, corrupting the ground around him into "living dunes" that move under his will. -Sandstorm Conjuring: Can create massive sandstorms laced with parasitic worms that infest victims' skin and consume their life force.
