James
"Ugh! You know what? I'll just find my way back to the main spot we were at earlier." Ally furiously replied and immediately ended the call.
I tried calling her back but she didn't answer. I tried one last time and all I heard was..
"Hola! This is Allison! I'm probably painting right now, so please leave a message."
I swear, this girl is so stubborn.
Well at least her voicemail knows how to answer a call. It's funny how sweet and kind she sounded on her voicemail when in real life she's nothing but a mean damsel in distress.
I sighed, left nothing to do.
What is this light coming from nowhere anyway?
-
Ally
What now?
I should've answered James' calls earlier.
I'm so stupid. Really stupid.
I don't know which is the way back to the open field. I never even thought this night could be even worse.
I hesitantly followed the spotlight backwards so it could lead me back to that part of the forest where I'm guessing is near the open field.
Minutes and minutes of walking, the beam of light was getting smaller too. Which only leaves me to the only way of survival.
When the beam of light was finally gone, it really led me to the dark part again. And only the moon shining from above was giving me light but not that much light now because of the clouds slowly covering it.
-
When the moon was fully covered with clouds and I had zero visibility left, the sky decided to cry.. hard.
Great! Now it's definitely raining and I'm soaking wet.
Boom!
And of course, the thunder and lighting were present. Though I'm not really scared about that two now.
I mean, I used to.. when I was a kid. But when I got older, I found the rain and its squad a little bit comforting.
It gave me this weird feeling of being protected, if you know what I mean. I'm that weird, sorry.
"Ally!" I heard someone shouted.
I remained silent and sat on the ground, waiting for a confirmation that that wasn't just because of me hallucinating or hearing things.
"Ally!" There it goes again.
But this time, I replied to the closest guess my mind was able to process.
I stood up and started walking around even though I wasn't able to see a thing.
"James! Where are you?" I shouted. "James!"
"Ally! Where..." I think he shouted back but I wasn't able to hear the rest because of the continuous sounds of thunder.
I randomly walked, hoping that I won't trip and fall.
"James!" I shouted again, ignoring the rain pouring hard.
He didn't answer.
Where's the spotlight now that I need it? Ugh!
I walked and walked until..
Shit.
The last thing I wanted was for this to happen.
I groaned really loud, trying to get on my feet.
"Ouch!"
"What the fuck?" I mumbled. "Who just said that?"
Someone groaned, "Probably me."
I immediately stood up and took a step backward.
"Who are you? Don't you ever dare and try to-"
"Shut it, Winfield."
By that, the lightning struck, just in time for me to see who it was.
"J-James? I-Is that you??" I stammered, narrowing my eyes, trying so hard to look for a confirmation.
"No. Probably ye-"
"Oh my gosh, James! You don't know how happy I a-"
I stopped my own sentence when I realized that I was already hugging him.
I pulled back from the sudden hug and cleared my throat.
"I mean, hi. How are you doing?" I uttered.
I'm so stupid.
He didn't answer, but instead he held my hand really tight and started walking.
"W-What are you doing? I mean, where are we going?" I tried asking.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" He retorted.
"Walking on a random direction?"
No answer.
"Wait.. you know the way back?"
He didn't answer. Again.
"James? James!! Jam-"
"Can you please just shut up?!" He taunted.
"What will you do if I don't?"
"Oh, you don't even want to know." He replied flatly.
-
Finally, the rain was starting to slow down.
"You can let go now." James said. His voice became a bit raspy, probably because of shouting.
I immediately let go. Well that was awkward.
"Here, hold this." James said, handing me a rope.
He fished something in his pocket, revealing afterwards that it was a car key, and opened his car and turned on the lights.
I furrowed my brows, "Why do you have a rope?" I asked, giving him a puzzled look.
"Used it to find you."
"T-That was really a g-great idea." I stammered, secretly smiling.
Oh my goodness.
May the heavens above forgive me for this. But this is just a sight to see.
"H-Hey w-what are you doing??" I asked nervously, covering my eyes.
What caught me by complete surprise was when he suddenly took off his shirt and pulled me into a hug.
If you're hearing someone screaming from a different dimension, I swear.. it can't be me, right?
