James
"You don't know me James.."
"Talk to me when you stop being such an asshole..."
Those phrases kept on replaying in my mind. What did I do? Did I did something wrong? Why did she feel so offended?
All of a sudden, my train of thoughts gets cut off by a familiar voice.
"You sure are busy today Mister Weyer. I don't think this is the right time for me to even visit."
"Erin!" I wiped my hands with my apron and wrapped my arms around her. "I missed you kiddo!" I said, ruffling her hair.
She punched my stomach which made me fall onto the floor.
"Ow! Hey, that hurts!" I complained, rubbing my stomach to soothe the pain.
"Then stop doing that!" She cocked her head and smirked, crossing her arms over her chest. She gave me a hand to help me stand up. But instead of standing up, I grabbed her arm and she also fell on the floor.
I laughed, tickling her, "Hey stop! Stop! Stop! You're ruining my dress!" She yelled, trying to get away from me.
"Okay, okay. I'll stop." I said and stood up. I gave her a hand to help her stand up and she accepted it.
"Look at what you've done!" She scowled while fixing her dress.
"Hey! I'm innocent!" I raised both of my hands in surrender, and grinned widely.
"Whatever." She mumbled.
"Anyways.." I sighed, "so what brings you here?" I asked, walking back to the dishes that I've cooked.
"Your mom invited us for lunch, remember?" She retorted and sat on the bar stool.
"Ow.. right!" I mumbled, putting the dishes that I've cooked in presentable containers, "But why so early?" I asked.
"I was just so excited to see you again, that's all. They will probably be here soon anyway." She smirked.
"Okay kiddo!" I teased.
"Stop calling me that! I'm all grown up now!" She huffed, rolling her eyes.
"Obviously." I remarked.
"Why do you say so?" She asked.
"Just a sec.." I raised a hand in front of her, and called the housemaids to put all the food in the dining room.
"You sure are working hard preparing this whole lunch thing huh?" I nodded.
"Yeah, it has been the first time mom and dad extended their vacation here in Portland and it makes me just so happy." I lied.
Actually at first I was happy, but the thought that they didn't even care that my grandma died makes me want to put all the blame on them.
"I'm so glad to hear that!" She exclaimed.
"So anyways, I think you're all grown up now because you grew 3 inches taller than you were before." I chuckled and Erin scowled, "But the fact that I treat you like my little sister remains."
"James!" She whined.
"What??" I laughed.
"I hate you!" She pouted and put her hands on her face.
"Why??" I asked, took of my apron, folded it and put it inside a drawer.
"Just because.." she paused, "I-uuh, I.."
