Three days. Three whole days and not a word from Rory. I had rung him, texted him, went round his house and even to his workplace but apparently he wasn't there. Ever.

I sighed to myself as I grabbed my jacket and walked to work. It took me a whole half an hour to get to work from Lisa's house. Lisa insisted that I call her house mine but it just wasn't right. I missed my home with my own belongings and comforts.

Once I reached the library I jogged up the steps and walked inside. I went behind the desk and began sorting through the various books that needed to be sorted. by the time I was done it was almost time for my lunch break although I usually just worked through my lunch break.

"Hey." I span around to see Lisa standing there smiling.

"Hey." I smiled back. "What's up?" I asked as I reached up to one of the top shelves.

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to come and grab a coffee with me." She explained.

"Yeah okay." I smiled. Lisa grabbed my arm and pulled me towards to exit. We walked to our favourite coffee shop and both brought our drinks before grabbing a table at the back of the shop, away from everyone else.

"I was thinking about the party." Lisa started and I couldn't help but huff in frustration. I just knew she was going to tell me not to go. Not that I was going to. I knew what could happen if I did. "Don't huff at me! Let me finish! What i was going to say was that there is a hotel just around the corner from the club. It nothing special but I don't think vampires can get into hotels." Lisa explained grinning ear to ear.

"That's a great idea but vampires can get into hotels." I sighed.

"Since when?" Lisa exclaimed.

"Since the beginning of time? Well the beginning of hotels anyway." I said while pouting.

"That's just stupid." Lisa mumbled as she pouted like a five year old. I chuckled at her and took a sip of my drink.

"Look it's fine. I'm okay with not going to one party." I smiled as reassuringly as I could manage. Even though I was really upset I couldn't go.

"Hm. What are you doing today?" Lisa asked.

"Well after this I'm going back to work and then I was thinking about going to grab some things from my house." I shrugged. "How about you?" I asked.

"Not much. Do want me to help you get whatever it is you're getting?" Lisa asked.

"No it's fine, but thank you." I smiled. "Anyway I need to get back to work but I'll see you at home?" I asked.

"Yeah sure. See you later." Lisa smiled back.

The rest of the day went by quite fast. I had next to nothing to do at work so I just sat behind the counter until the end of my shift. Once the clock finally reached four, I grabbed my jacket and walked slowly to my own home. The wind blew through my hair causing me to shiver slightly. I pulled my jacket tightly around myself as I picked up my pace. I reached the familiar street and jogged to my house. As I got closer I noticed someone sitting on my doorstep. My heart rate picked up for a second as I thought it was Charlie. That was before I remembered I still had another four hours of sunlight left. I jogged closer and slowly started to recognise the figure sitting there.

"Rory?" I called as I finally reached the house. He glanced up at me, his eyes looked slightly darker than usual. As he stood up I noted that he looked as if he had grown in height and was now towering over me. His arms looked a lot bigger as well. I knew I hadn't seen him for three days but there was no way this was normal. "Where have you been?" I asked, crossing my arms at the same time.
