Chapter 11
“So this is the room?” Alex asks pointing down at the blue prints of the house we are apparently robbing tomorrow. No big deal…
“Yeah…” Derek trails off as he thinks hard. “We just need to find out how to get to that room without getting caught by security. The halls are probably filled with body guards, there’s no way you could make it.”
“Are these vents?” Justin asks pointing at rectangular drawn things on the paper.
Derek looked at it carefully. “Yeah I think so.”
“Are they safe, do you think?”
“Possibly…” He says simply.
“Well what if Lyra, Alexis and Marcie sneak into the vents…” Justin trailed his finger at the vent that led to the door that we needed to arrive at. “And make their way past the door while the boys and I watch close for any body guards in that hall.”
Derek’s smile widened. “That’s genius!” He exclaimed thinking more about it. “But there’s got to be cameras in that hall they’ll automatically see you.”
“That’s why we have Alexis.” Justin says putting his arm around her shoulders. “She’ll sneak into the security room and distract the men in there.”
“That’s perfect because Alexis distracted the men when we went to Chicago for the gold!” Brandon exclaims smiling.
“Well I am a great distractor.” She says smiling softly.
I laugh a little. “So that’s the plan!” Derek exclaims clapping a couple times. I nervously smiled when he looked at all of us at once. “You guys may go. Justin, don’t talk to Marcie.” Derek says as he grabs the phone.
“Whys that?” He asks.
“Because she specifically said; ‘If I hear Justin’s stupid fuckingg voice speaking to me, I’ll cut his throat off.’ So if you want to be alive I wouldn’t speak to her.” He reminded him. I narrowed my eyes, what’s up with this Marcie girl? “You guys may go.” He shooed us out of the room. We got up and before Justin could say anything else Derek was talking to someone on the phone.
He grabbed my hand and we all walked out of the room. “Who’s Marcie?” I whispered to him as we walked to go get Braydon.
“It’s a girl I dated a couple times.” He whispers back. “She’s with us in this little plan.” My mouth slightly dropped. “She’s not going to touch you, don’t worry. I won’t let her.” He plants a kiss on my cheek before leaning down and taking Braydon from the man that was watching him.
We walked out of the place and got in the car, driving off onto the road. “Do you think this is actually going to work?” Alex asked Justin and Brandon.
“Let’s just hope.” Justin says calmly.
When we finally got the hotel we all got ready for the carnival that we’re going to. Alex and Brandon said that they would watch Braydon while Justin and I apparently ‘get to know’ each other. Which I clearly think is dumb idea because I do not want to get to know that jerk.
He put his arm around my waist as we walked around, passing by all the crowds of people. “So tell me about yourself Lyra.” He smirks as he buys some cotton candy. “First off, how old are you?”
It’s sad to be living with me for days and not know my age. “I’m 18. I’ll be turning 19 in September.” I tried to be polite. “What about you?”
“20.” He says plainly before handing me a piece of his cotton candy.
We walked around and talked and talked. I learned how his parents died when he was only 14 and he lived with Alex and Brandon since then. I learned how his birthday is in March 4th. I learned about how his favorite color was purple, how his favorite food was spaghetti, how he hated when people poked him.
“Let’s go on this ride!” He exclaimed. He looked like a little kid excited for something which was the cutest thing ever. I had to admit.
I chuckled. “Awesome! A ride for me to throw up on…”
He instantly smiled as he brought his hand towards mine. “You’re not going to throw up babe.”
“How do you know that?” I raised my eyebrow.
He shrugged cutely. “I just know.” His hand began pulling onto mine as he walked towards the line of the roller coaster.
It was a huge line, I could tell you that. I groaned as we stood in line. “I can’t believe you’re making me do this.” I pulled my hair up into low ponytail as I leaned back onto the short pole that separated the line.
“I’m not making you do it. You could have just walked away.” He smirked.
“No doubt you would have caught me though.” I winked. He wouldn’t have let me walk anywhere.
He laughed in a tone where it was like you understand “See? We are getting to know each other baby.” He lightly bumped his elbow onto me.
He leaned forward pecking his lips with mine. It was just a peck to him, but to me, it felt like it was more than that.
His arm slipped around my waist as we stood in the line. As we walked people in front of us began to glare at me or him. Not really sure. They were girls and I’m thinking they’re looking at us for different reasons.
thoughts on Justin: Damn, I’d tap that. thoughts on Me: Ew she’s an ugly whore
I began to feel self-conscious as they kept staring at me oddly. I looked away trying my best to not let it bother me. The only words I heard from the one girl whispering was, “fat ass thinks she’s pretty.” That had to break me. I felt flashbacks hit me like a ton of bricks. Same words... your fat… your ugly…
Justin shot his eyes over at me as my heart raced. “Are you okay?” He asked me clueless of the girls whispering.
I nodded looking away from his eyes. Those beautiful evil hazel nut eyes that I could never lie to when I’m looking into them…
His body quickly spun in front of mine as he moved my hands away from my face. He came closer trying to get me to look at him, but I couldn’t. “Baby, what’s wrong?” I didn’t speak. He didn’t make me either. I felt the girls whispering more and giggles, finally unlocking Justin’s eyes with mine. He looked to the side like he was listening to what they were saying. He glanced over at me but I looked away. “You’re really listening to those girls?” He asked me.
The line moved up and we walked forward and I didn’t answer his question. I didn’t know how.
“You’re not fat Lyra, I hope you know that.”
“Justin, you don’t have to say stuff like that to make me feel better—“
He put his hand over my mouth. “From the days you’ve known me, haven’t you known that I’m not a liar?”
“Yeah but—“
“But, no. Whatever I say, I fucking mean it.” He says calmly. He smiled before kissing me on the cheek. He pulled me by my hips closer to him and kissed me on the lips softly in front of the girls.
His hand slowly gripped onto mine as both of our bodies turned to the girls in front of us.
“Like what you see? We will be sure to entertain you more considering you guys have been staring at me and my girlfriend for the past 10 minutes.” He smirked with his eyebrows pointing up. The girls smirked and none of them spoke. “Yeah I thought so…” He trailed off. “Bitches.” He murmured making me only hear. I laughed and he pecked me on the cheek, still holding my hand tightly.
Dare I say he was being a good person today?
Is this actually Justin? Or am I dreaming?
