I looked at the one in the middle for a long time as they made their way over towards us. He smelled like chocolate covered strawberries.

"Why are you staring at him like that?" Asked Jake.

"Huh?" I said.

What is wrong with me! It's like I can't speak! Stupid teenage hormones! Yep, I'm blaming it all on you! My brother started waving a hand in front of my face.

Damn it! If he doesn't stop messing with are view of him I'm going to break his hand! Hissed Audrey in full anger.

How about I do the honors. I said with an evil smirk.

Quickly I grabbed my brothers hand twisting his arm upside down. My grip on his hand was getting stronger as I glared daggers at him.

"Mia! Stop!" My brother said squirming trying to get his hand free.

At this point my eyes were probably glowing amber as I heard a loud pop come from his hand.

"Shit!" He yelled snatching his hand away.

Right now I was beyond ticked off and I couldn't calm down. My body was shaking slightly as I glared at my brother. My brother was cowering away in fear.

"Mia, calm down." My brother said bumping into our mother.

Mom jolted awake looking over at me. Her face was full of shock as I glared at my brother.

"Honey, Please calm down. Whatever your brother did he didn't mean it." My mom said calmly.

I was trying to calm down but I couldn't nothing was working. My body started shaking violently.

Sweetheart what's wrong? Asked mom through are mind link.

Mom! I can't calm down! Nothing I try is working! I screamed back.

My mom was about to answer but she froze in fear again. Ugh! I don't know what's going on! Why can't I stop my anger! The only one not frozen was my brother and me.

My brother was trying to pop his hand back in place, but he wasn't having much luck. "Damn! Mia! How did you break this!" My brother yelled at me.

"Stop talking." Said a deep voice behind me.

My brother looked like he was going to piss his pants at whoever just spoke. Someone's hot breath fanned my ear as they spoke "Close your eyes and take in your surroundings."

I took a deep breath trying not to lash out at the person behind me. Slowly I closed my eyes and let my senses take control. That's when I felt it, the powerful aura my brother was talking about.

It was like nothing I'd ever felt before. I felt someone drawing circles on my back and tingles spread throughout my body. I breathed in the same chocolate covered strawberries sent from earlier. I felt hot breath fanning the side of my face but there was no noise.

I leaned into the persons touch meeting a rock hard chest against my back. Arms slowly wrapped themselves around my waist sending tingles up and down my spine. A face snuggled into the crook of my neck. Finally I relaxed opening my eyes to see a shocked brother staring back at me.

"What?" I asked him.

"How are you doing that?" He said pointing towards someone behind me.

A low chuckle vibrated my back, almost like purring. I tried to unravel the persons arms. But they growled and held on tighter.

"Jake come over here so I can pop you hand back in place." I said calmly.

Growling could be heard from  behind me. Jake gulped saying "I-I'm not going over there."

"Damn it! Jake! Stop being a wuss and get you ass over here! Now!" I yelled at him.

If he was in his panther, he would have his ears pinned to his head and tail tucked in between his legs with the way he was acting.

He shook his head no whimpering slightly. I sighed rolling my eyes and prying the arms around me off. I walked over towards Jake and grabbed his hand. I heard a pop as I squeezed it back in place. Jake yelped in pain hissing a long line of cuss words. I smacked him on the back of his head and he jumped slightly.

"What the HELL was that for!" Jake yelled rubbing his head.

"For being a wuss. Now why would you not come over to me earlier?" I said through clenched teeth.

He snorted "Like I'm going near him! He's a lycan for god-sake!"

I looked at where he was pointing and saw the same man that was walking towards us earlier. My animal was howling with joy at the sight of him.

What are you so happy about! I yelled at her.

MATE! MATE! MATE! She screamed back.

My eyes widened, that's why he was the only one that could calm me down. Suddenly I was pushed behind my brother as he tried to protect me. A deep and terrifying growl sounded throughout the ball room. In a flash I was behind my mate as he growled "MINE!"

My brother looked surprised at what just happened. My mates body shook rapidly as he tried to control his wolf. Unconsciously I rubbed small patterns into his back muscles. My mate calmed down and I wrapped my arms around his waist.

Clapping erupted throughout the ballroom, I looked around to see everyone was watching us. I blushed and hid my face in my mates side. My mate chuckled putting an arm around my shoulders.

"Let's go talk somewhere alone." My mate whispered in my ear.

I shook my head and we walked up the stairs and towards his room. What is he going to talk to me about?
