The Discovery

It was a few months after Sophie and Keefe had gotten married and Sophie still hadn't had any signs of pregnancy. They had been trying for months. They both decided to go to Havenfield to visit Grady and Edaline. She hasn't seen them since the house warming party. So her and Keefe went to the leapmaster 10,000 (they both are in the nobility) and were on their way to Havenfield. When they arrived in the pastures, they heard a screech. Sophie knew this screech to be a flareadon screech. They turned around to see Grady trying to calm the flareadon. This one didn't look like Gildie. Sophie sent images of fire to the flareadon and instantly the creature calmed. She lured it into the pen by setting it on fire. Once the flareadon was safe, She went over to Grady who looked shocked. "You really are a professional when it comes to animals. You should work at the sanctuary" he said. Sophie thought about it. Then she gasped. "We haven't checked on Sparks for months! I wonder how she's doing." She said. Then Edaline walked outside. "Oh Sophie! It's so great to see you! How have you been?" she said. "I've been fine mom" then she felt a pull in her stomach. She ran for the caves and when she got there, she vomited. Keefe came up behind her and pulled her hair out of the way. When she had finally stopped, they told Grady and Edaline that they would be back later, and they went to see Elwin. When they got there, he looked surprised. "Well, if it isn't the Sencens. Good to see you guys. What's up?" he asked. Keefe answered for Sophie. "We went to Havenfield, Sophie played flareadon wrangler then she vomited in the caves. Now we're here" he said. Elwin started flashing lights around Sophie's head, torso and stomach. Then he stopped. Then flashed around her stomach again. Then stopped. Then flashed some more light. This time when he stopped, he didn't start again. He went to his desk and took out a silver square. It wasn't an imparter. "lick this" Elwin instructed. Sophie licked it and it flashed green. "What does that mean?" Sophie asked getting worried. And she definitely wasn't prepared for the next words Elwin said.

"Sophie. You're pregnant"

Sophie was overjoyed. She smiled and so did Keefe. They would tell everyone that day when they got back to Havenfield. "Your going to have to come back here monthly to make sure that you and the baby are okay. And I suspect you guys want to go tell everybody now so It was great to see you. Congratulations to the both of you" Elwin said. Then sophie and Keefe went back to Havenfeild and told everybody to come. They invited Biana, Fitz, Dex, Alden, Della and Cassius. Alvar insisted on coming too so he was there also. Once everybody was there, they told them. "Okay! We have some good news. We're going to have a baby!" Keefe said. Everybody started clapping and cheering. Alvar smirked. That's not a surprise Sophie thought. Everyone congratulated them. Then they all went home except for Biana, Fitz and Dex. Sophie couldn't help but think that this was perfect. The gang was back together with another member on the way. They decided to play base quest but Keefe made Sophie sit out. She was thankful for that. She didn't feel well enough to play anyways. Sophie suggested they go play at Sungrove and everybody agreed. The forest there was so big, but sorta spaced out. They all agreed that if someone couldn't be found, Sophie would track and find them. Her and Keefe already knew the in and out's of the forest thanks to their photographic memories. Sophie decided to sit at the fountain they had and talk to the baby. Maybe she could find out how to talk to it telepathically. She hoped she wouldn't damage or hurt the baby in anyway. She concentrated and transmitted to the baby. Hello. I am your mother She transmitted. Then she read the baby's mind. Hi mama! the baby thought. Sophie gasped. She pulled out her imparter and whispered the three words she used a lot as a child. "Show me Alden"
