“Jungkook, are you serious about this?” Namjoon asked, looking at him carefully.

“Yes, hyung, I am,” Jungkook sighed. “I can’t handle both roles anymore. It’s getting too much.”

“Did you discuss it with Yn?” Namjoon asked.

“I don’t want her to think I’m leaving because of her. I don’t want her to feel guilty—that’s why I came to talk to you first,” Jungkook replied, making Namjoon raise his eyebrows.

“So, you want me to announce that I’ve transferred you to another branch in Seoul?” Namjoon asked.

“I just don’t want her to know that I made this decision for her, hyung. She would feel guilty and sad. I can’t let that happen. And honestly, I can’t continue working here—it’s not an option anymore. I’m falling hard for her, and there’s no denying it. A single tear in her eyes breaks my heart. I can’t be the one hurting her, even if it’s professional.”

Namjoon sighed. “Fine, I’ll make up some excuse. You want to be transferred to—”

“Seoul University. The one closer to my house,” Jungkook immediately interrupted, making Namjoon shake his head with a faint smile.

“Okay… on second thought, that’s better. Here, there’s Suga to handle the students, but at that branch, no one’s strict enough. You being there will be good for them,” Namjoon said, and Jungkook smiled softly.

“Do you want me to break the news to Yn, or will you tell her?” Namjoon asked.

“I’ll tell her today. Can you announce it tomorrow?” Jungkook asked.

Namjoon nodded. As Jungkook left, Namjoon muttered under his breath, “He’s fallen hard for her.”

---

Jungkook walked into his cabin and sat down, feeling a strange heaviness in his chest.

He was sad too—but it was for the best.

He had given years of his life to this college; it was normal to feel a little emotional about leaving.

But he kept reminding himself it was the right thing to do.

He glanced at his watch—it was time for class.

Just as he was about to leave, Hobi stopped him.

“Jungkook, a word,” Hobi said, and Jungkook nodded.

---

Flashback

“Yn, is it true?” Hobi asked her, trusting her enough to expect honesty.

“We just took the intro, sir—”

“Okay, stop. Go back to your class,” Hoseok said firmly, disappointment clear in his voice.

“No, sir, wait! We really—”

But he turned away, leaving her standing there.

-........

In the classroom, Yn was sitting quietly—too quietly for anyone’s liking.

“Why so quiet?” Taehyung asked at last, nudging her.

She looked at him, her eyes moist, mixed with fear.

“Hey, hey, what happened?” he asked, growing worried.

“I promised Jungkook that I’d be careful in the future—”

“We will, Yn. I’ll make sure we don’t do anything wrong agai—”
