Taehyung slowly freed his hand from Yn’s grip after giving it a reassuring squeeze.

Then, he stepped forward.

“Explain,” Jungkook repeated, his voice calm but cold.

“We just took a normal intro session, sir. We didn’t rag them—just an introduction,” Taehyung said carefully.

“A normal intro?” Jungkook asked, taking a step forward.

Taehyung immediately took a step back.

He was clearly scared of Jungkook.

“Pass me the phone,” Jungkook said to one of the juniors. The boy quickly handed it to him. Jungkook played the recording.

---

Recording:

“Name?”

“S-sir, I’m Priya…”

“Sir? Who told you to call me sir? Am I your professor?”

“N-no…”

“Then what the hell are you?”

“I—I’m a junior…”

“LOUDER! I can’t hear your little voice!”

“I’m a junior!”

“Good. Now bow down properly when you talk to your seniors. Where are your manners?”

Loud laughter followed.

> “Next! You—yeah, the one hiding behind! Step forward. What’s your name?”

“Tanmay…”

“Tan-what? Say it properly!”

“Tanmay Sharma, sir.”

“Again ‘sir’? Do we look that old to you? Or are you trying to insult us?”

“N-no—”

“Shut up when I’m talking!”

There was a sudden thud—something fell, maybe a book—followed by the sound of someone flinching.

“You think you can act smart here? Better learn your place, or we’ll teach you in a way you won’t forget.”

Another senior laughed,

“Look at their faces, man. They’re about to cry! Freshers these days are so weak.”

The recording ended.

“A normal intro, huh?” Jungkook asked.

Taehyung shook his head quickly, eyes darting toward his classmates.

“DOES IT LOOK LIKE A NORMAL INTRO?” Jimin suddenly shouted, making everyone, including Taehyung, flinch.

“We didn’t do anything! It’s just a college ritual—we were only explaining the rules—” one boy tried to say.

“By humiliating and scaring them?” Jimin snapped.

“It was just words… they were being rude at first. We didn’t mean to sound so harsh,” Taehyung said quietly.

“Sunmin,” Jungkook called.

A girl entered.

Everyone went silent when they saw the bruises on her face and arms.

As soon as she walked in, the seniors started looking at each other nervously.

“We didn’t do that, Mr. Jeon,” Taehyung said quickly.

“We didn’t hit her!” several voices followed.

“SHUT UP!” Jimin shouted.

“Speak one by one,” Jungkook ordered.

“The recording is real, but we didn’t hit anyone,” one girl said.

“I know we went too far, but we never touched them,” another added.

“We really didn’t, sir,” Taehyung said again, pleading.

Jungkook looked at Jimin and sighed, then turned to the crying junor girl.

“They really hit her, sir,” one boy from the junior batch said.

“Yes, sir. We all saw it,” another added.

“Stop FUCKING lying!” one of the seniors shouted.

“You’re liars!” Yn snapped and soon the whole class started arguing.

“SHUT YOUR MOUTH—ALL OF YOU!” Jungkook said firmly, and silence filled the room.

“Mr. Jeon, you can check the CCTV footage. We really didn’t hit anyone,” Yn said quickly BUT Jungkook stared at her blankly.

“Yeah,” Taehyung added.

“We took the intro behind the ground—there are cameras. Please check the footage, sir.”

“We already did,” Jimin said. “But the juniors said some of you hit the girl inside the washroom.”

“They’re lying, Mr. Park!” Taehyung shouted angrily.

“Yes! None of us touched her!” the girls agreed.

Jungkook turned to the junior girl. “Point out who hit you.”

The girl hesitated, then pointed at Yn.

Yn’s eyes widened. “No! She’s lying!” she said, panicked.

“Mr. Jeon, I didn’t hit her. I would never do that,” she pleaded.

Jungkook slowly stepped closer until he stood right in front of her.

Her eyes were showing confusion and fear, fear of being wrongly accused, fear of being punished by Jungkook's hands again.

“Jungkook, I really didn’t. You know I’d never do something like that,” she whispered.

“I’m not sure what you’re capable of anymore, Yn. So no, I don’t know if I should believe you,” Jungkook said coldly.

Yn looked at him in disbelief. What happened to her husband who always trusted her?

“I never lied to you before, Jungkook. I know I made mistakes, but I’ve never lied. Please… I’m telling the truth,” she said desperately.

Jungkook turned away without replying and looked at the girl again.

“Was she the only one?” he asked.

“N-no… the one beside her, and the two behind and in front of her were there too,” the girl said shakily.

Jungkook exhaled sharply and looked toward Hoseok.

“Hyung, can you please bring the strap from my office? It’s on the shelf,” he said.

Everyone froze.

“Jungkook…” Hoseok said softly. He knew this was getting serious—if the seniors were guilty, Yn was too. But if not, then the juniors just came, punishing everyone of them with a strap was too much.

“Hyung, please,” Jungkook said quietly.

Hoseok nodded.

“And bring the black one—the thick and wide strap,” Jungkook added and-

The students’ faces turned pale.

TO BE CONTINUED.............
