TARGET:80 COMMENTS INLINE AND INFRONT OF DIALOGUES PLS

......................

“Yn, can we talk, please?” Jungkook asked, sitting down beside her.

She turned to him, her eyes brimming with emotion—guilt, hurt, confusion.

“What’s there to talk about, Jungkook?” she asked, her voice trembling.

“Can you explain why you did what you did? Even you don’t know, right?” he pressed.

“Yn—”

“If you punished Lia, then I deserved the same punishment too. And if you let me go, then you shouldn’t have punished her either,” Yn said firmly.

“I didn’t intend to—”

“You were partial, Jungkook,” she said with a sigh.

“You think I don’t know that—”

“Then why?” Her voice turned soft, pained.

“You said you wouldn’t be partial, that you’d treat everyone the same. But you didn’t. Jungkook, you’re confusing me. You’re really confusing me.”

Jungkook’s gaze dropped.

“I intended to punish you both equally, Yn. You know I don’t show partiality—especially not among my students. But when I saw you standing there, crying, broken, accepting the punishment without even a word of protest… even after we were alone in the office—something inside me shattered. I just couldn’t go through with it.”

“You shouldn’t have punished Lia either—”

“I had already punished her, Yn. And I meant to punish you too. But in that moment—I just couldn’t.”

“Why?” she asked, tears welling in her eyes.

He exhaled shakily.

“Because I couldn’t stand to see you like that. For the first time, I chose to ignore my responsibilities and listen to my heart. I know it was wrong. I even tried to convince myself it was part of my plan. But deep down, I knew the truth: I didn’t go through with it because I couldn’t bear to see you so broken—so hurt and in pain.”

“Why do you have to be so harsh, Jungkook?” she asked finally.

“You already made us do that presentation, then the physical exercises. Why did you think it was still necessary to punish us afterward?”

He looked at her with a tired, almost resigned expression.

“The presentation was meant to make you both work together. The physical exercise was to build your bond. And the punishment—the ruler, the hits—was meant to engrave the lesson in both of your minds."

"That’s how my punishments work, Yn. You think I was harsh? Ask your seniors—what you got was nothing compared to the punishment they would have received for fighting in my class.”

"Okay, I understand but atleast you should have treated both of us equally"She muttered.

"I couldn't bring myself to see you like that there,i was wrong,it's on me,yn"He said.

Yn’s brows furrowed, her eyes brimming with tears.

“Jungkook, that’s not fair. You can’t do that. If Lia was punished, then I deserved the same punishment too.”

He looked at her, pain and regret in his gaze.

“I know. And I hate that I did that. But I can’t go back and change it now, Yn.”

“Then call us both tomorrow,” she said, her voice trembling but determined.

“Punish me the same way you punished her. It’s the only way to make it right.”

Jungkook shook his head slowly.

“No, Yn. That won’t fix it. What’s done is done.”

“Jungkook—”

“I said no,” he interrupted, his voice firm but gentle.

“I won’t punish you now just to ease my own guilt. I made a mistake, and I’ll live with it. But from now on, I promise—I won’t be partial again. No matter what.”

Yn swallowed hard, tears slipping down her cheeks.

“That’s not fair, Jungkook.”

His eyes softened.

“I know it’s not fair. But I can’t undo what I did. I can only make sure it never happens again.”

She looked at him, searching his face for any sign of hesitation.

When she found none, she nodded slowly.

Yn woke up in the middle of the night, her legs and thighs hurting from all the exercise earlier.

She sat up slowly and looked at Jungkook, who was sleeping next to her.

He looked so calm and peaceful, not like the strict professor he was during the day.

She didn’t want to wake him.

She carefully moved her legs off the bed, wincing as the pain got worse.

She tiptoed out of the bedroom and went to the kitchen, trying not to make any noise.

The house was dark and quiet.

She turned on a small light on the counter and started looking through the cabinets for the hot water bag she had used before.

After a while, she gave up—she couldn’t find it anywhere.

The pain in her legs felt like it was tearing through her, and tears started to fill her eyes.

But she refused to cry.

She filled the kettle with water and set it to boil.

She thought maybe she could use a towel as a warm compress instead.

When the water finished boiling, she picked it up carefully, but her hands were shaking from being so tired and sore.

She turned to grab a bowl or cloth, but her hand slipped.

“Ah!” she cried out as the hot water spilled over her hand.

It burned her skin so badly that she dropped the kettle, and it hit the floor with a loud crash.

Water splashed everywhere.

She held her burned hand close to her chest, tears falling as the pain shot through her.

Her knees felt weak, and she leaned on the counter to stop from falling.

“Stupid, stupid,” she muttered, gritting her teeth.

She glanced at the dark hallway leading back to their room, hoping Jungkook wouldn’t wake up and see her like this.

But as she turned back to the sink and held her hand under cool water, she heard quick footsteps coming toward her.
