Chapter Six

~Mitch's Pov~
Dan and Xavier were already sitting at a tree when I walked out of my classroom.
"Hey Mitch get over here!" Xavier yells with a wide smile.
I run over and slide down next too Xavier, "What'd you think of initiation?" He asks taking a bite of his sandwich.
"It was surprising I guess..." I say taking out my lunch.
I look over at Dan who is spacing out.
"Dan? Daniel!" I yell waving my hands in front of his face.
"Huh? Oh uh sorry, spaced out for a second," he says showing a fake smile.
"Dan I'm not stupid, Are going gay over Philip Lester?" Xavier asks leaning forwards towards Dan eyeing him carefully.
I sit quietly not knowing who 'Philip Lester' is..
Dan laughs, "What the fuck? That idiot? Xavier you're officially crazy!"
I smirk and pick up my bag, "Alright boys I have to get going I have the rest of the day off, my place after you guys finish?" I ask as I get my car keys from my pocket.
"Sure dude see you then!" Xavier says happily.
I nod and walk to my car pulling out my phone in the process.
I look up and stop dead in my tracks.
I see Jerome with three guys, one with the curly hair -named Preston I think-, one with long jet black hair and another with short brown hair.
I guess he's new too.
They all turn around and see me.
Jerome glares and Preston stares. (( that rhymed! I'm a poet and didn't even know it!))
"What do you want?" Jerome spits.
"To get to my car and to talk to you..." I say putting my phone in my pocket.
"Fine. I'll be right back guys," he says the last part smiling at his friends.
He walks over to me, "Go on talk." He says venom lacing through his voice.
It really hurt seeing him hate me.
"I just want to say I'm sorry... I told you I didn't want to hurt you,"
"Yet you did!" Jerome yells.
"Look Jerome I mi-"
"Save it, I don't give a shit," he says turning to walk away.
I grab his arm and spin him back around.
"Jerome I'm not walking out of your life again and I'm not going to let you walk out of mine!" I say not letting go, I can't lose him not again.
"Well you know what I am and you have no right to stop me!" He says trying to free his arm.
I shake my head and put both my hands on his arms, I lean in letting our lips brush together, I immediately pull back and run to my car leaving Jerome.
I push past Preston and the others, tears threatening to fall.
I'm a screw up! A fucking screw up!
I start the engine and put my foot on the accelerator.
I drive to my house and park the car.
Now crying.
All I do is mess everything up.
Xavier is probably going to find out and start beating me, so is Dan..
My phone vibrates in my pocket.
I try to stop crying which I fail at.
I start to settle down.
I pull out my phone to see a picture from Xavier.
"Oh shit!" I yell honking my horn and hitting my head on the back of the seat.
